I am using this board to build a portable display, so having HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs is a real plus. The board is solidly built. Pulls about 800mA at 12VDC.

First they sent me the wrong controller where I got a 30 pin controller instead of a 40 pin, and they kept asking me to send different pictures so they could try to prove it was amazon destitutions fault instead of there's but the box was miss- labeled. I send that one back and they sent me a new controller. this time it was the correct controller, but it wasn't working the way it should. I plugged in the 12volt power supply and 40 pin screen, and an hdmi to my computer. the screen turn on, and my computer recognized the controller and tried to send output, but the visual was not changing from a dark lit screen. I try several different computers and cables, but nothing worked. in the end i sent it back and got a refund, but this whole situation was such a hassle.

I took a broken laptop and removed the monitor panel. Got the model number and found this controller board. I turned the panel into a homemade external monitor for my laptop to extend the desktop real estate. It worked great. My cost is the board and some materials ~$45 total versus over $100 for a new and good external monitor made for this purpose.

Hooked up and tested out great. Plan to use this for a future project

This works excellent right from the box. It was easy to connect. The only problem it does not have a USB. I did not think of that before now and I wish it had one:( Other than that, this was a great purchase for the price to connect a old laptop monitor to use with my raspberry pi:)
