Love this series of books. Very good source of info on fossils

As an avid fossil collector/ hunter, I am always looking for definitive identification books to help when the positive ID of a fossil proves difficult. This publication does not cover all the fossils that could, potentially, be found within these shores, but it does cover the most commonly found. The book is nicely illustrated, is clear and concise in its format, and will be of assistance to any amateur collector/hunter.

This is one of the three books that any UK palaeontologist/geologist should not be without, the other two being Mesozoic and Caenozoic.The drawings are beautiful and clear and the selection of illustrations quite appropriate.This was my third copy, the previous two having worn out during 45 years of use.It is, of course, thoroughly recommended.
