Excellent 360 MHz Over Head Door Company Garage Door remote replacement
Good looking product and worked perfectly. Used to replace an old (1989) boxy remote for a fixed 360 MHz Over Head Door model 36A garage door opener remote without spending the big budget price for an original Over Head replacement. Remote was easy to program via copying the 9 existing DIP switches in the old remote (open main body of remote; not just battery compartment). Came with new installed 9V battery. Looks good on visor - bigger than the tiny remote I purchased with this product but not larger than the original. Had better range than original remote and better than the micro remote that I also purchased with this product. Note it is fixed frequency so make sure you have a 360 Mhz receiver.

Work great, Easy to set up, come with battery.
Replaced old broken remotes for my Overhead Door 450A. These are well constructed and a take 2 minutes to set up. They came with battery installed, opened lid set dip switches, worked excellent. Good range and look nicer than my old bulky square openers. They even have a visor clip. I bought two of them and may get another.

Works great with my Original Overhead Door 450A
This opener works great with my very old Original Overhead 450A garage door. We recently moved into a house and had no transmitter(s) for the garage door. The Overhead opener was quite old but seemed to work fine with the push button on the wall. So, I wanted to simply find an affordable transmitter that would work with this old Original Overhead door. Programming the 9-dip buttons on the transmitter and the Overhead door was a breeze. Then I was able to use this Heddolf transmitter to program the Home-Link in my car. Worked perfectly. The price is really a bargain for this transmitter and it came with a 9v battery. Very cool.

Works like a charm!
This was the third one I bought. First 2 did not have the neutral setting. Shame on me for not paying attention to what I needed. This one, however, did have the neutral setting, '0', and works fine with my out of date Overhead Door 450A opener.Great buy.

Cautiously Optimistic
Third Update, July 31, 2015. Still going strong. REALLY happy with it.Second Update, Dec. 18, 2012: The replacement still works perfectly. Am very happy with it.First Update, June 5, 2011: Unfortunately, after having and using the remote for 10 months, it stopped functioning properly. There is a spring-loaded contact pin on its circut board that gets pushed in when the remote button is pressed. It is supposed to spring back out of its housing when the remote button is released. However, the button on mine got stuck inside the housing and wouldn't release. Searching the net, the manufacturer apparently has a 2-year warranty on it, but the seller of mine, CommunityControls, has a 1-year warranty. Since mine became defective after having it just less than a year, I contacted the seller, and they were fantastic about getting a new one out to me and setting up the return for the defective one. The new one, so far, works beautifully. I will update again should I experience any further problems.Original review sometime in 2010: I have a 1988ish Overhead Door model 45A, 360MHz, garage door opener. I bought a new "Crusader" remote for it from Overhead Door Co. several years ago, and it was junk, i.e., the range was ridiculously low, the push-button broke and had to be glued, the screw that holds it together stripped so I had to tape it together, and eventually the push-button quit working properly again. I then went to Home Depot and bought a universal Chamberlin which wasn't compatible with my "old" 360mhz system. I then went online and found this Heddolf on Amazon. After setting the DIP switches, it worked perfectly. I've had it for almost a year now, and it has never failed. It is SO much better than the "crusader" which was a complete waste. The whole unit, including the push-button, is very solid. Also, its range is about 10 times greater than the Crusader. It's a great product at a great price, and I highly recommend it. Just do you homework first and make sure it's compatible with your system.

never worked - beware!
We bought this for a rental house and gave it to our tenants. The told us three months later that they could not get it to work. In their defense, they travel for work all the time, so they forgot to call us...but that did not help us when it comes to asking for a refund! So, we didn't ask for one. But, still....it never worked. We tried to make it work, tried different batteries, tried several different instructions from online, nothing worked - it was a DUD!
