Good value for money

This binder came with some undated diary pages with both Chinese and English markings. The included stationery was slightly narrower than A5, and was surprisingly good quality; even with a fountain pen there was minimal feathering or bleed through. They weren't what I bought the binder for, though, so I put them aside. I kept the punched vinyl sheet, which can be seen in one of my photographs. This gives an idea of how much smaller the included stationery was than the A5 I was using. My purpose for this binder was to hold A5 printed materials. The binder fits ISO A5 with A5-Filofax-compatible hole spacing, without protruding beyond the cover - although the right hand edge of the pages does come very close. The covers are rigid, with a soft spine. The rings are riveted to the back cover, meaning that the pages don't slide against the back cover when the cover is closed. It comfortably holds 140 pages of 80gsm A5 copier paper. The six slots in the front cover allow the cover to lie flat against the contents, regardless of how full the rings are. The only drawback is that on the front and the back cover, there are six deep dents where the binder was stored pressed against other binders. It doesn't affect the function of the binder at all, but it does affect the aesthetic. The binder feels good in the hand, and the cover lies flat when opened or when closed. There are no pockets or pen loops, and unlike the Filofax Clipbook there isn't space in the spine to keep a pen.

I have already reviewed these when I bought again, but hey…praise where praise is due. A lot cheaper, sturdy and better quality than a certain very well known brand I used to purchase and they come pre-filled! If like me, you love a notebook and especially refillable ones, then consider these! Easy to buy different paper A5 refills for these also at a reasonable price.

I wanted a decent quality A5 notebook which allowed me to re-arrange pages in different orders, and add and take away pages neatly, and this one allows me to do this. I've had it for a few months, and I've had no problems. It looks good, and the rings open and close fine.

Disappointed with quality of paper.

Good quality and price

I brought this to use as my language learning journal and I can say that I'm very impressed. Very elegant and expensive looking notebook at half the price of others it looks like. Comes with a good amount of (good quality) paper. The only concern I've found is finding refills for it, which has been a bit annoying, but I'm sure that I'll find some.
