Chinese pepper - (zanthoxylm) A tree which originates from throughout Asia and in its natural environment grows to around 2m x 2m in a shrub like formation. The tree has fragrant glossy green pinnate leaves and is a vigorous grower. The tree produces a yellowish flower when in optimum conditions and does produce fruit. They say this tree has medicinal properties and is frequently uses in Szechuan cuisine
