Robelle 8-Pounds Premium Pool Calcium Up, Calcium Hardness Increaser

My order contained 2- 4lb bags of Pool Mate Calcium Increaser. The bags were packaged and taped very well in a box that was then placed in a larger box that wasn't taped so well. The larger box was slightly damaged, and the tape was loose; however, the smaller box containing the product was packaged so well that it remained undamaged. The bags reseal for storage and even have a handle built in to the bag. This stuff works great. It got my Calcium up in the pool quick. Make sure you mix it in water and disperse it in the pool that way. And once you mix it in a container with some water, don't let it sit around. It makes some serious heat. Don't touch this stuff with wet hands. It gets very hot very fast.

I found that this works well. I've been monitoring my pool for a while and had to add Calcium for the first time after a big bailout. It does require a 5 gal bucket to dissolve it into solution before adding, but it also dissolves quickly in there. After that, you just dump that water-calcium solution along the edge of the pool while going around it. I added 2 lbs initially to see how dramatic the Calcium increase would be and found that it went up close to what the bag said it would after adding and waiting two hours. It is worth the money and is pretty easy to use.
