Perfect, for my Raspberry Pi 3 Model B
I had an old MyDigitalSSD M.2 NGFF 128GB SSD module lying around, that used to be installed in my Lenovo laptop. On finding it on my shelf, I went looking for a way to redeploy it, and found this excellent dongle. I received the adapter today, installed the M.2 NGFF module, and was up and running in less than 5 minutes. It's currently doing a full backup of the 120GB SSD that I normally use, to run my Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. The Pi is only USB 2.0, so I won't see the max potential throughput of this USB 3.0 device. But it is still very fast, by Pi Standards, and if my principle concern was speed, I wouldn't be using a Pi. ;) This unit makes a great addition to the Raspberry Pi 3B, and lets me use an SSD module that would have otherwise continued to sit idle and forgotten, on my shelf.

Works for the price
Overall I want to give it 5 stars. It deserves 3, BUT it works well. I've tried other enconclosures that didn't even pick up the drive. The screwdriver is solid, reusing it for myself. The enclosure is solid, and so is the cable. The issue is, when I tried using my usbc port on my Dell XPS laptop with the drive with a USB c to usb c, the laptop thought it was a charger!!!!Which raises a red flag on the device USB C spec!!! So this device might not follow the USB c spec which can lead to major device failure. I don't know how to test it, plugged it into my USB c pixel phone and it picked it up as a hardrive doh.¯\_(ツ)_/¯Speed was solid on a 800MB file.

Super value !!
What a nice gadget. Slide your old laptop's SSD into this and voila -- there's all your data just like your old computer! I suppose some people would use this as a backup drive. For me, it's just a cool way to have salvaged all of my old files after coffee ruined my laptop and it wouldn't start. I put this into this little contraption, plugged it into my USB port, and presto I was back in business. For the money it's very reasonable quality and a life saver.

Package was opened and not functioning
I received the package and it seemed that it have been opened before, but decided to go on use it since I needed that urgently. However, not only it didn’t have the manual with it, but it didn’t even work. I assume this case comes with its manual, and because of this concluded that the package has been used.I tried all of the troubleshooting options offered on its link on amazon, but it still didn’t work. Even the LED lights didn’t turn on when connected to a computer.I’m returning this product. Just wasted my time.

Stunning Quality
I was expecting something of moderate build quality, given I was spending around five bucks on this, but WOW this thing went above and beyond.I can't stress the build quality. This thing is tough, and has a wonderfully smooth finish. Everything from the weight in the hand, to the lack of flex when squeezed just screams durability. The board is kept stable inside the case via grooves acting as guide rails. Cut into the shell during manufacturing, they hold the PCB level inside the shell, eliminating any concerns about the board and SSD inside from making contact with any of the walls. The front plate is very secure, and the screws are also well made, and the design suggests that breakage isn't going to be a concern. However, careful not to strip the tops. Apply reasonable force when installing, as they seem a little soft on the tops. The foam cover seals perfectly, there are no sharp edges, and the USB tip fits comfortably inside plastic covers. The speeds are exactly as I'd expect, and the board itself keeps reasonably cool during long periods of writing. Most if not all of the heat coming from the SSD itself. And while not an essential feature by any means, the LEDs are very well placed to appear very bright, and diffuse at the right angle so as not to blind the user. Nice touch. All in all, fantastic purchase, and very glad I decided to go with this one in particular.
