illy Arabica Selection Etiopia Whole Bean Coffee

I bought Illy Guatemala whole beans and it’s become one of my go-to coffees. The beans have arrived fresh and the flavor is consistently good from bag to bag. The standout for me is the chocolate note — it comes through clearly in my drinks without being bitter. I also really like how the darker roast holds up in milk drinks. It still stands out instead of getting lost, and it stays really smooth with low acidity. Solid, dependable coffee that tastes great and performs the same every time.

This is honestly the best coffee. The flavor is rich, smooth, and tastes so good that I can barely focus on writing this review because I just want to get up and make another cup 😂. The caffeine content is just right, and it’s very smooth—no bitterness. The medium roast color is perfect, and the size is just right for how quickly we go through it. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the quality is absolutely worth it. If you love great-tasting coffee and want that premium café vibe at home, this one is it.

I wasn't going to write a review because there are almost 10,000 already posted, so I realize this review will not likely ever be read. That said, I've been pulling espresso shots on my 60 lbs Italian espresso machine for the last 15 years, and can't believe how tasty Illy's Decaf Whole Bean Coffee is. I usually buy Blue Bottle Hayes Valley for my morning Americano, which they roast within 2 weeks of delivery, so I wasn't expecting much with this decaf. Uh, I was wrong and why Illy doesn't advertise that they use a more cleaner process (CO2) for their decaf is a miss. I would market that front and center given that Illy's decaf isn’t decaffeinated with harsh chemical solvents; it uses the CO₂ method, which is generally less likely to leave chemical residues and doesn’t use synthetic pesticide-related processing agents in the decaffeination stage itself. Bravo Illy. I love this decaf and get to enjoy coffee outside of the morning hours. The quality of your decaf is spot on, as is your roast, which produces a naturally sweet shot of chocolate notes with no acidity.

Illy makes very good coffee and first time using Whole Beans. The coffee was smoother with our new Moccamaster coffee maker however, I was disappointed in the best use date. The best use date made it seem like old stock compared to the Illy K cups we purchase through Amazon. Although the Illy aluminum cans are vacuum sealed. This is the reason for the 4 stars.

This coffee is such a quality and luxurious blend. The immediate aroma upon opening is going to be your first clue that you made the right decision by trying it out. The taste is full bodied and smooth. It’s a bit pricey although if you’re looking to sacrifice quality for savings perhaps you aren’t actually seeking an exceptional coffee. This is a staple in my home and I never allow myself to run out

Decided to buy this after trying it in Italy for the first time. It tastes just like how I remember! Soooo smooth, and it’s the first time I’ve truly been able to taste and understand the “notes” of the coffee. It has such a warm and unmistakable flavor while being perfect for a standard brew. I’ve been grinding these beans for plain espresso, lattes, and americanos (sorry Italy). Smells and tastes heavenly.

Best decaffeinated coffee I ever had. No sacrifice in flavor at all. Highly recommend!

Excellent Fresh Quality Whole Beans!! I specifically bought this to try the caramel, orange blossom and Jasmine notes in this coffee. I'm not specifically tasting any of those notes, possibly the caramel. One thing undeniably great is it's very smooth. It's a medium roast. Strong black coffee that would make a fantastic iced coffee. I will definitely buy this again. I like how it's sealed and the aroma releases once the lid comes off.I highly recommend buying for yourself or as gifts.

Love this coffee. Lots of flavour even as a decafe. Low acid but no bitter taste. Had a bit of problem with the order but the company was right on top of it. I would buy this again from this company.

長年イリーの赤い方を飲んでいましたが、胃潰瘍を患いデカフェにしました。 味は若干コクが薄いようにも感じますが、ほぼほぼ変わりません。 デカフェでイリーの味を頂けるのは、本当にありがたいです。 朝は、シナモントッピングの豆乳カプチーノにして２杯。日中はブラックで数杯いただきます。 早く詰め替えタイプが出るといいですね！
