Whisper Quiet!
This humidifier is awesome. And it is whisper silent. I cannot hear it, save for the occasional gurgle. it is easy to remove and refill, as well as reattach the water tank. you can also purchase tablets that will keep the tank cleaner longer, as well as a filter, which can be attached to the underside of the top screwtop lid above the water tank. I love all the different options, which are easy to find on the top panel of the unit, which include low, medium and high vapor settings, as well as different lengths of time (4, 6, etc hours) to run it. The blue light glow of the device is very soothing at night, however, I prefer to keep the light turned off. I love this unit so much that I purchased a second one for our basement, which gets very dry in the winter. I have had my first unit for over a year now, and it’s still going strong. Highly recommend.

Silent and effective! Great Customer Service too!
Its totally silent and filling is so much easier since you can take it right to the sink and fill it. Best humidifier i have ever found and my ferns near it are loving it in this sub zero weather. They usually suffer during their winter hibernation period inside. I have not found one thing that I do not like. Update - I bought a second one two mnths after the first one, for the room where I keep two large gardenias and this is the first winter EVER that my gardenias have not gotten infected with insects. If the air around them is too dry they are susceptible to spider mites that cause the leaves to yellow and drop. No longer a problem! I also had one tank cap that required more tightening which I had to do with a rubber jar opener - making it hard to get off to refill - so I called their Customer Service and they are sending out a new cap, free of charge, no questions asked. THAT is what I call excellent Customer service. Great company, well made product, very durable and tiny footprint on the floor.

Excellent humidifer
I have a wood burning furnace, so in the winter, the house is pretty dry. We purchased this one after some research. We have it in the bedroom and it's great. A nice mist, quiet as hell. I hated the one we had where you could hear the water glugging in the bottle. This one is whisper quiet. Sometimes I don't even hear it. My only problem is that I wish they would let you know how many hours it runs per refill on each setting. I'm guessing the 100 hours is on the low setting, which is barely doing anything. We run it 12 hours on the medium setting and are refilling it about every 4 days. It is a bit awkward to get the water reservoir into the device, especially because we have it sitting up off the floor. But it's totally worth it.

Quiet and works well so far
I got this for dry nasal passages at night. After a few nights I feel some improvement. I will update my review as time goes by to see if the improvement becomes even better, the same or worse. I use it on Medium setting for 8 hours. It makes a gentle noise which is pleasant to go to sleep by even at less than 6 feet away. I also bought a cheap humidity sensor ( ThermoPro TP50 Hygrometer Thermometer Indoor Humidity Monitor with Temperature Gauge Humidity Meter ) which funnily enough does not register ANY humidity improvement in the room as a result of using this humidifier. There are two minor drawbacks - 1) No overall handle to move the entire unit easily (only the tank has a handle). 2) There is no way to lay the tank in a stable fashion horizontally or vertically in order to fill it. This means one hand must be kept on the tank while you fiddle with the water source (faucet or bottle) as well as deal with putting the tank cap back on. These are not showstoppers, just slight inconveniences for me.

Good choice, no pornlems
It’s well made and sturdy. The slim shape takes up less room, and the fine mist does not condense on nearby objects. However the run time may look misleadig, since on maximum it on maximum is about 10 hours, But that's par for the course, since I have a 2 gallon Swiss Air unit that runs for similar times. And the 1 1/2 gallon size is just right for carrying and filling - not too heavy, not too meager. I lay it down in my sink and fill it using the kitchen faucet pullout spray. It’s quick & easy.

Has anyone else had trouble getting Lid B on or off? That seems to be a real problem for me.
It is very quiet and puts a lot of humidity in the air. Those are two positive features. I am having trouble getting Lid B off. It must be slightly off track because it leaks when I lift it. So, I tried to take it off, but it does not budge. I am a 75 year old female, but I do hard labor in a hospital kitchen. Update: I called the number on the back of the instruction booklet. After waiting for about 20 minutes a lady came on the phone. I told her about my problem with the lid. I even suggested the manufacturer included a wrench with the product to help people with low muscle mass open and close Lid B. She suggested I put the unit outside (it was about 9 degrees out) for 15 minutes and then try again. She said if that didn't work, she suggested I return the item since it was only 8 days old. I've never heard of a manufacturer suggesting a customer return a product. Second update: I called the number of the instruction booklet again and this time I asked for the part number of the lid. It turns out it is only $3.75 per item. I purchased 4 of them -- one they gave me under warranty. As far as the wrench goes, there was no progress, but I took the unit up to a gas station and the guy was able to get it off on the second try. I will just have to be careful putting the lid on from now on.

Worth the Expense!
Working great for me thus far. I’m very satisfied with the product. I use it every night as I live in a very dry climate. It helps with my sinus condition and allergies. I highly recommend this product!

a sure bet to provide humidity
Bought this as a replacement for different brand that leaked after we dropped the tank while filling. Very similar design but with improvement of a second fill hole. A nice addition. Fine mist works great with several settings to get the particular humidity that you want. It needs fill every other day (for our setting). Easy to fill and looks nice in room. Compared online and this had a good price among all different kinds. Suits our large bedroom needs . Seems quite reliable and expect many years of service.

Ultrasonic Cool Mist vs Warm Mist Humidifiers
I have had this PureGuardian 7L Ultrasonic Cool Mist humidifier running through three months of 24 hr/d use now and have had a Honeywell 3.8L Warm Mist Humidifier for two years. I live in an area with extremely hard water and the house operates with a water softener on the hot water. The Ultrasonic Cool Mist humidifier operates extremely quietly and the 7L capacity keeps it running for about a day and a half at the middle setting of three. The lower setting will run a single tank of water/mist for over two days. The unit does not leak and is easy to fill. I use the threaded bottom fill cap trusting it more than the side fill cap which is more simply a half twist cap, and in my opinion, more likely to not tighten enough after the rubber gasket has had a fair amount of use. The unit requires cleaning about once a week in the well and about once every two weeks inside the tank. You can tell when inside the tank it feels slightly slimy. A full strength vinegar solution, left in for half an hour or overnight does the job in both places, the well sometimes needing a bit of additional scrapping of the rough deposit on the plastic, then a rinse. The unit has a small footprint on the floor and a hightower tank of about 18 inches. The 7L capacity is fantastic. The Warm Mist Humidifier has been noisy from day 1. It lasts at best half a day on a tank at the lower of two settings. The hard water deposits, if left long enough (two weeks on my hard water) will shut the unit's safety feature down. Cleaning then is an almost impossible problem. Cleaning sooner is even very difficult. Vinegar is minimally effective. Even CLR does not work any better. My unit has required a chisel to sometimes not-so-gently scrape away the deposits from the plastic coated heating element. This is the main design flaw. A stainless steel coated element would likely work better. (E.g. in my stainless steel lined water kettle the same water and deposits are dissolved and cleaned away in a half an hour soak). Water sooner or later leaves heavily crusted deposits on all the other immersed plastic near the element of the humidifier, which generally however, can be cleaned with a metal scrapping tool and a metal scouring pad. After two years of use through the winter now (November through April) the unit is leaking and headed for recycling. Having now used both the Warm Mist Humidifier and the Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier, I am a convert to the larger tank, the much quieter, almost silent operation, and the significantly easier cleaning necessity. I have had no problem with the Ultrasonic Humidifier in terms of white hard water particle deposits in the room.

Performs as it should, just have help filling the water container
Sleek in my living room and people always ask me what it is (haha). I like the simplicity and the controls. It’s easy to use and every easier to program. My one complaint about this product is the water container and filling it. There are two openings to refill using distilled water but there’s no flat surface to place it on so that I can empty the 4 L bottle of distilled water into it. It’s a two person operations or an extra hand helps. Unless you find something to prop it up so it doesn’t tip over when filling. Again not a deal breaker just a convenience thing. The unit itself is incredible and worth the money.

Excellent humidificateur
L’appareil est silencieux et procure une bonne humidification dans la chambre à coucher.l’appareil est plus cher que d’autres mais il n’y a pas de filtres de rechange à acheter.

So far this thing is great. It’s been three days
So far this thing is great. It’s been three days. I’ll update if that changes. Thoughts below. Bought this to replace an old Vick’s humidifier. It’s really dry in here, so we have to refill often in the winter. Having a 7L tank is a huge win for us. It also helps by raising the humidifier to a level that puts mist out so that it can disperse into the air without having a wet or damp spot under it. It’s dry as a bone under there. Our last humidifier sat on a stool that got ruined from a humidifier. Our Boneco (formerly Air-O-Swiss) that we use upstairs is also ruining the stool it sits on. Looks like that won’t be a problem with this, but time will tell. It’s simple to use, is intuitive, and looks and sounds like it’s sure to be on a set in some low budget sci-fi or a porn or whatever. Happily, I can turn the LED lighting off. It would probably look good in black. Hope that helps.

Doesn't Last Long
Have not had this for one month. The white crust build up is gross. The side wanted tank leaks. It's making funny noises now and then to the point you can't even sleep. I am returning mine.
