I got this because I was hoping for an easy and comfortable way to carry my DJI Osmo Mobile 7P. I honestly feel kind of lukewarm about this product, but it does basically work. It does form fit to my 7P and it has a latching mechanism for securely holding it in. What I mainly don't like is that it feels kind of awkward to me having it on my chest attached to my sling backpack strap, and I also find that it slides down my strap. I know I could probably fix that sliding issue by using a safety pin to hold it in place, but again, I think the placement of this product just feels weird. I can see how other people could like it though (I would rather just go back to putting it in a backpack pocket).

I picked this up to use with my DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal, and overall it’s been a really nice little accessory for the price. The holder attaches right onto a backpack shoulder strap using a Velcro wrap, and it actually feels pretty secure once it’s in place. I like that it keeps the gimbal easily accessible without having to dig through a bag every time I want to grab it. The quick-release feature works well and makes it easy to pull the gimbal out with one hand when you want to start recording. It snaps back into place quickly too, which makes it convenient when you’re moving around and filming on the go. There is no magnet to this product. For such a small accessory, the build quality is surprisingly solid. The plastic feels sturdy and the holder fits the gimbal snugly so it doesn’t wobble around. It also has a little bit of padding to help protect the device from scratches. Overall, this is a simple but really practical accessory, especially if you’re carrying your Osmo while traveling, hiking, or walking around and want quick access to it. For about $15, the quality and functionality are definitely worth it.

So far, it's working fine. It does fit my DJI osmo 8 with no problems. It's easy to install, and positions well. The velcro that attaches to your book back is sturdy and holds. As of right now it is a solid product with good value and I have no complaints.

The AMAZEAR Backpack Strap Quick-Release Holder for DJI OSMO 8/7 allows for quick access to your gimbal while carrying around a lot of gear. The bracket attaches to a backpack strap using Velcro flaps. The Velcro is secure but not very adjustable so there’s no way to fully lock in-place exactly where you want this holster to land on the strap. With the weight of the gimbal, the holder does slide around the backpack strap. I’m using a Peak Design Everyday Backpack which might just have more narrow straps so your mileage may vary depending on what bag you use. The clip itself has a locking mechanism that is spring loaded. The button is easy to press but still requires enough force that it won’t accidentally open. Due to the design, the gimbal won’t fall out even when the lock is open as the gimbal is placed inside and needs to be lifted out. The build quality is nice and I can see the locking mechanism withstanding repeated opening and closing. Overall this backpack strap quick-release holder is a good option for people who want easy access to their gimbal. It doesn’t provide much protection though so I wouldn’t recommend using it as a storage solution.

I couldn’t kind anything like this to fit my osmo 6 and this will still hold it securely, so it is an absolute win. My friend has a 7 and it fits his perfectly. It has a super strong hold on my backpack strap and I worry a lot less about finding a way to carry this device around. Build great and can work on many units.

I ordered this for my Dji osmo mobile 6. I didn’t realize until I tried to install it that it wouldn’t fit because it wasn’t meant for that model. Nonetheless, it’s well made. It holds onto the bag strap well and the clasp that holds the device in feels very secure when closed. If I had the right device i think it would be easy to install. I would trust this to hold it.
