This pair of turns plates are well made and allows for easier alignment in my own garage. I only do front wheel alignment’s as my vehicle only has setting for the front, my rear wheels are not adjustable per the manufacturer; the only reason to need to align my rear wheels is if my vehicle has sustained damage that has impacted my rear wheel alignment. Going back to using these turn plates for my front wheel alignment, these turn plates are thin but they are robust as they stay put on the ground and not slip around like my previous method which was a pair of industrial tiles with wheel grease sandwiched between them as my slip plates. These slip plates stayed put even as I rolled up onto them ( yes I used the transitional plastic piece ), I was able to roll up onto the plates nice and gently. Once I was on the turn plates I was able to release the pins holding the turn plate in place, I then proceeded to turn the steering wheel without the vehicle running and it turned nice and smoothly. It was much better than my makeshift tile turn plates. The degree markings on the turn plate were easy to read ( I was glad that it was large enough that I didn’t have to fetch my eyeglasses to read the markings). I checked the turn angle of my vehicle and it was as I’d expected. The included wheel chocks were a nice touch but they are a bit small but they do the trick. Overall I’m happy with these turn plates as they are much easier and much less messy compared to my grease sandwiched tile turn plates. Oh one small comment is not on the turn plates but the instructions…the instructions say to lubricate the turn plate moving parts with a lubricant recommended by the manufacturer for best results, shouldn’t they list the lubricant in the manual as they are the manufacturer? I guess I’ll have to email their support to find out what the proper lubricant that I should use.

I am a home mechanic and used these to adjust my truck in as close as I could get it after replacing all the ball joints, bushings, hubs, tierod ends, etc. . I will still take it to a real alignment place after I am finished to get a fine tune on it. They worked well for me, easy to use and not too heavy.
