I had a lot of fun with this crochet kit. I’m a lazy learner so had only learned the basic crochet stitches and crocheted easy stuff like scarves and blankets. However, these coasters were too adorable and I couldn’t help but give it a try. The kit comes with everything needed to make the coasters, I only had to put in the time. So I broke the project down into days according to the YouTube tutorial. The kit includes a beginner’s manual, an instruction booklet for the project, and a small card that can be scanned for the YouTube tutorial. The instruction booklet required too much brain power for me to decode so I used the YouTube tutorial. The tutorial is broken down into 4 parts. So I did one part per day. I think the instructions in the videos are very good. They actually show every stitch that is needed instead of skipping ahead to save on time. There are some times that I wasn’t sure about so did scroll back several times to make sure. However, even if mistakes are made, the pattern is forgiving and mistakes aren’t that noticeable. I messed up one of the two baskets and made it too big but no one would know. In summary, I’m very happy with this kit. I learnt how to do a magic ring and made two beautiful coaster/basket combos. I think there is enough yarn left over for me to make another daisy/basket combo but might get some blue yarn to make blue/yellow flowers instead. Anyways, whatever it is, I’m sure it will be adorable. Of note: There is an error in the instructions when making the daisy flower.
