Herb Garden Starter Kit

Our herbs are not doing well. They germinated, started growing and then we got the polar vortex and they are dying. The kit is beautifully presented, and easy to use if you don’t live in Michigan and have extreme weather fluctuations. I gave these to my husband as a Hanukkah gift and he was delighted at the prospect of fresh herbs during the grey winter months. Our inner farmer has taken a hit but that shouldn’t dissuade others. We couldn’t predict this weather.

My initial feedback was 5 stars but I also had to admit that my seeds hadn't sprouted. After several messages, taking pics etc, the sellers advised me that I was possibley over watering and using the wrong soil. I switched to watering 2 times per week only and purchased seedling starter soil. The sellers graciously agreed to replace my seeds, free of charge. I replanted them and in less than 2 weeks all seeds have sprouted (with the exception of two; chives and parsley. But I do believe they will sprout soon also). These sellers were kind and patient (even when I lost mine) and I truly appreciate their insistence on my success. I am truly grateful. THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND!

I originally purchased this as a gift but when I received the gift. It was so cute, I decided to keep for myself. When I opened the box, I loved how nicely packed everything was. All of the items were in the box itself which could be used as the base for the garden. Very easy to use. Followed the instructions and was happy to see the Cilantro and Basil growing. Unfortunately the Parsley and Thyme didn't grow. I must have overwatered because around the base of the tag, it looked like it started to get moldy. I still had some seeds left so I could have scraped the top and tried again but wasn't sure if the soil would now be considered contaminated. Even so, I cleaned out the other two containers and kept them on the side. May just get seeds from home depot and some soil and try to replant something else when I find the time. Overall a very cute gift and I love that I have a indoor herb garden! I was excited to snip some basil from the garden and add to my pasta sauce for some flavor. Good quality. Would definitely suggest!!

10/10 would recommend for someone getting started and lack of garden space. I don't have too much room but wanted to try my hand at some usable greenery, these give clear instructions and all materials needed to get started. My photos show start point and what the plants look like after about 3 weeks of sitting in my window sill. Parsley and cilantro definitely were the early and steady bloomers for me but the other two are coming around.Super giftable with the cute box it comes in, gift wrap style inside. Good idea for someone tough to buy for, has a green thumb or even a secret gift exchange etc.One tip I realized that isn't in the instructions, the plants grow towards the sun and need to be rotated so they don't grow totally in one direction. You can see in mine the first two that grew more quickly I didn't follow this early on so they're a bit less stable than the other two sprouts that I've been doing this during the past week. Just something I didn't know starting out that would have been useful info but nonetheless this is a great kit. I may try out the pepper one next!

I received these and liked it very much. Today I began to start the seeds in seed starter. I found some of the seeds (what few there were) to be extremely small. I found that the oregano only had 14 seeds and the peppermint packet was completely empty. I opened the side thinking that they were stuck in a corner, but there were absolutely 0 in the pack.The bamboo markers and the wooden box are very nice, but I had to contact AMAZON about the problem. I will not be ordering from this seller again.

Parsley and thyme seeds only had about seven seeds when the package says 25 seeds + that is very irritating. 🤬
