Birds Choice HPEDIL-GR Ivy Pedestal Heated Bird Bath, Medium

This purchase is one of the happiest I have made ever! Not only does it work great I have the bonus of seeing all the birds enjoying a normal temperature water in the bitter cold months. The water never freezes. The bath runs off our outdoor electrical. It's so easy to empty cause it's lightweight bowl is not attached to the metal scrollwork legs. Just tip out the dirty water, rinse with jugged water brought from the house (we shut off the outdoor water in winter), wipe with paper towel and fill with the rest of the hugged water. The surface of the bowl is white and it has stayed white all winter. I love it for all these reasons. Super practical, helps the birds and wildlife, and the whole process of dump, rinse, wipe and refill takes about 2 minutes.

Very pleased! We live in Nebraska and have pretty rough winters! The first week after Christmas (gave this to hubby as a gift) we had 6” of snow and it worked great!! Then we had single digit temperatures for over a week and again, it did GREAT! The water stayed thawed and warm, our birds were very happy!!While looking for a heated bird bath, none of them were rated for winter conditions! Well what the heck? Why else do you need a heated bird bath?? Lol! Fortunately, a customer had posted that this one stood up to “Wisconsin winters”, so thank you to that customer! I figured that was good enough for me to give it a chance and so far, we’re happy as can be!Easy set up! Great looks! Fast shipping! Happy birds! What more could you ask for!?!?

I'm disappointed that the pegs on the ring do not line up properly with the base - one of them is 2" off. I can force it in but it keeps popping out. However, this is a beautiful product and after posting a question here on Amazon, the manufacturer has offered to take my phone call next week, and help me resolve this situation. They responded to my question within hours. I will update this review once I have the outcome. Since no one else posted this problem, I'm guessing it's a fluke which will be taken care of. Other than that, it's really nice, and I look forward to setting it up once I get my issue fixed. UPDATE: The manufacturer provided excellent customer service by sending me a new base within a few days, at no cost to me. The new one fits perfectly - this is a really nice birdbath and the customer service was great!

This birdbath works great! Kept the ice off in the coldest days of winter!

Love it. Just what we wanted. Birds are happy. If you have cats/dogs, etc. , that may jump up on it, may need to anchor it somehow so it won't tip over.

I have had this bird bath for 5 years and it’s still going strong. I use it year round and the birds love it. I twist off the top and dump the water each morning and it holds exactly 1 gallon of water which I carry to the bird bath in a recycled gallon milk jug. The only slight draw back is that the electric cord is attached to the bottom of the bird bath and it gets twisted and untwisted each day. I need to get an attachment to put on the cord so that it can swivel easily. I’m so sorry that this is currently not available. Hope it hasn’t been discontinued.

Really like the style and looks very attractive in my flower garden.

The birdbath works great in cold weather, altho the water evaporates quickly because it is somewhat shallow. The feet could use more stability in wet weather, if they sink in the ground it makes the water uneven and more shallow. It is lightweight to empty and clean!

the birds land for drinks, come summer they will bath. Very enjoyable to watch
