Best mini-PC on the market, great for entry level and mid-tier gameing!
I have bought 5 of the "Ryzen 7 7840HS with 16GB of RAM" and 1 with 32GB of RAM. All 6 have performed admirably. The soldered RAM does add some performance to the iGPU giving these about a 10% increase compared to non-soldered Mini-PCs using the same iGPU. Considering these mini-PCs are under $400, that is a fair compromise. I have also set one of these up as a NAS, the 3 NVMe slots offer up to 6TB of storage at very fast speeds (extra NVMe storage not included). These also have two 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports that you can set up to facilitate the NAS. I have tested about a half dozen different Mini-PCs utilizing the Radeon 780M graphics. That said, the GEM 10 hands down has the best graphics within this chipset. These Mini-PCs are very quiet, even when pushing them hard, there is almost 0 noticeable fan noise. The hottest these PCs get is around 80C and that is while running demanding PC games. I tested these PCs with "7 days to Die (v2.3)", "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly GAMA", "Fallout 76" and "Rust". All games were able to easily hit 60fps at 1080p at medium settings with minor setting adjustments. The power supply provided can provide up to 99W but the PC will not pull more than 90W even while under demanding loads. The PCs I received were already per-configured with Windows 11 and DID NOT have any bloatware per-installed, only the drivers needed to run the hardware. This was a very pleasant surprise to not find garbage software installed that I would inevitably have to uninstall. The "Aoostar GEM 10" PC can have CPUs from 3 different generations of AMD Ryzen chipsets (6th, 7th and 8th gen). I would recommend not getting the 6850H (6th gen) CPU models IF you plan on using these for gaming. The Ryzen 7840HS is the best version of this PC in this line up (the 8745HS has slower 5600Mhz RAM and therefore is slightly slower over-all than the 7840HS). The older 6th gen Ryzen chips use the older Radeon 680M graphics and are built on the 6nm Lithography. These are inferior to the 7th and 8th gen chips that are built on 4nm lithography and utilize the Radeon 780M graphics. The 6th Gen Ryzen PCs are still good for the price, but AMD is less likely to support their older 6th gen chips for much longer. AMD is still building new CPUs that utilize the Radeon 780M Graphics (Ryzen 7 260 was release on Q2, 2025), so support and driver updates will continue for many years with this iGPU. Lastly, if you are considering which of the 6 variations of this PC you want to buy, I would recommend the 7840HS. It has the fastest soldered RAM (6400MT/s), the best in class Radeon 780M graphics and is a tried and true CPU model.

This AOOSTAR MACO Mini PC delivers
This AOOSTAR MACO Mini PC delivers impressive performance with its AMD Ryzen 7 processor, handling multitasking and demanding applications smoothly. The 24GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD provide fast load times and plenty of storage for both work and entertainment. I especially like the Radeon 780M graphics, which can handle light gaming and creative tasks without any issues. The support for four displays and multiple connectivity options like USB4 and dual 2.5G LAN make it extremely versatile. Overall, it’s a powerful and compact machine that offers great value for its price.

Excellent Mini PC For Light Gaming
I picked up the AOOSTAR MACO Ryzen 7 H255 barebone Mini PC a few weeks ago and turned it into my dedicated light gaming rig. After adding 32GB DDR5 5600 RAM and a NVMe SSD, it's been an absolute joy to use. Go in BIOS (F7) set the GPU to have 8GB Ram If you will be gaming> Make Sure RAM is Running Full Speed What I like: - Super compact aluminum build – fits perfectly on my desk without hogging space. - Runs cool and quiet under gaming loads / I changed Thermal Paste To Noctua NT-H1 (no loud fans screaming like some mini PCs). - Tons of connectivity: dual USB4 ports, OCuLink for future eGPU upgrades if I ever want more power, support for four displays 2.5G Ethernet, and WiFi 6. - Easy to build – barebones design made adding RAM and storage is easy, and the internals are well laid out. * It is quite involved to take apart the heat-sink but can be done. For the price this thing punches way above its weight. If you're looking for a small, versatile Mini PC that can handle light gaming, productivity, media streaming, and even some content creation without needing a huge tower, this AOOSTAR MACO is a fantastic choice. Super satisfied – definitely worth it!

Definitely worth the price.
This computer is the perfect travel computer. And it has a lot more power than most large computers. I added an external card to boost the graphics and this thing easily plays virtual reality games. I have spent the past week running this thing through the ringers, and it holds up. With the addition of the external graphics card, my vr set up is working flawlessly on this thing. Excellent quality for the price. I highly recommend it. 1 TB hd, reasonable processing power plug and play ability to add an external graphics card. It's an excellent choice for a portable computer. Especially if you need a computer that's a little more powerful than your average laptop. the screen can be a little difficult to see sometimes because of the size but that can easily be remedied using an external monitor and if you don't have an external monitor available, you can still use the computer. As far as quality compared to price, this thing blows the majority of high end computers out of the water.

Fast Mini PC ..
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this item. The chassis is mostly metal with plastic vent covers. Fit and finish is excellent. From the cooling solution uses two fans which keeps the unit below thermal throttle even at the full 50 watt load. Memory and SSD is not name brand but work very well in this application. Their additional SSD ports available so putting multiple operating systems is pretty easy. The two and a half gig ethernet ports are Intel based and work very well. I haven't tested the Bluetooth nor Wi-Fi since I was using Ethernet. The rubber feet have plenty of grip to prevent the unit from moving. I am so pleasantly surprised by the performance of this unit as it replaced a Dell precision workstation with Xeon processor 2689 v0 and has about 2x the performance at 5% of the size and 10% of the weight. Oculink adapter should allow this thing to be expanded to allow games to shine. The IGPU is at GT 1060/GT 1650 levels of performance and you can assign whatever amount of Ram to the IGPU as one would want. Downside is support..... Company Aaostar website not even mentions this model. There is no Bios update or any manual online. The unit comes with a printed manual. Driver's can be uploaded from OEMs without issue but would be nice to have a web page for the product.

Excellent unit.
It was time to kick aside the Dell tower and upgrade to the present. I had got one of these mini computers for my wife and she liked it so I shopped for the Ryzen processor (the best out there) with 1TB of space and this one came up. All I can say is WoW! This is an excellent build, has Lots of ports, is screaming fast, and exceeds my expectations. (I bought my first computer in 1985 and have owned, configured and built several) Right out of the box it did what I needed without error, and it did do it quickly. Now what amazes me is this unit running Win11 loaded up old software, activated licenses, and opened like new. I loaded MS Office 13, PSCS4, Lightroom 4, Topaz Studio, Portraiture Plugin, Adobe Acrobat, Breezebrowser, Lightburn. All of these are pre-2013. Some I even had to put in the previous versions license key, but they all loaded, activated and opened. Amazing. I really like the footprint now that my tower is gone. Done are the 500GB and 1TB hard drives. Just wish the audio port was on the back. After just a few days of use I can definitely say this was a GREAT decision to buy this computer.

Great PC with few minor annoyances (could be my unit)
This is a powerful little Mini PC with its key advantages being the Ryzen processor and 32 GB LPDDR5 6400 MHz RAM. It can run most of the games at 1080p ultra or 1440p medium settings. I am getting a Cinebench Singlecore score of 1765 and multicore score of 14117 with this mini PC. If this is not good enough, the PC comes with an Oculink port that allows you to connect an external GPU. I would have rated this 5 stars, if not for the fan noise and not so great tech support. Pros Fast boot, high performance. Three M.2 NVME slots provides enough storage space to use this as a mini NAS solution. Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports provides ample expansion Oculink to support external GPUs Gaming - I can run Call of Duty MWIII at 1080p Ultra Settings and this mini pc handles it without breaking a sweat. This has a great design with metal casing and lots of vents to keep it cool during operation. Cons Bluetooth connectivity seems to be bad - I have to keep my bluetooth keyboard very close (almost touching) to the PC for it to remain connected. There is a fan on the case that is always running and results in a constant hissing sound. Tech support is lacking - the mini PC comes with a card that asks customers to contact AOOSTAR through an email and not to return the product to Amazon. I reached out to them about the constant fan noise and I was told to adjust some bios settings, which was ok since I come from a tech background. But once I made the change and that didn't help with the issue, there was a total stop of communication from AOOSTAR. I don't understand the point of asking customers to contact them over email if they are not planning to provide any response. One of the screws that you need to remove to access the additional M.2 slots is under one of the case feet and that needs to be peeled off. I don't know how long it will remain sticking if we end up removing and re-attaching it few times. Minor Nit: The M.2 SSD on the PC I received already had 40+ power on hours and total reads of 404 GB and writes of 267 GB. Not sure if this was a device that was previously returned because just the OS installation itself cannot get to those numbers.

Great Barebone Value – Setup Tips
This is an excellent device and a great deal if you already have a spare NVMe SSD or DDR5 SODIMM memory. The barebone unit works perfectly. I successfully installed Windows 11 (Build 25H2). While most drivers were recognized automatically, I had to manually download three setup files to clear up the remaining unknown devices in Windows Device Manager. Required Drivers: 1. Chipset & GPU: Go to AMD.com and download the Auto-Detect and Install tool for the chipset and Radeon 780M drivers. 2. Wi-Fi & Bluetooth: Go to Intel.com and use their Driver & Support Assistant to get the latest wireless drivers. 3. Ethernet: Visit the AOOSTAR downloads page and download the drivers for the Lan Port: Intel 226V. The system is now fully set up and running through stress tests!
