This cage is great. Very very sturdy. Thoughtful inclusion of a screw mount on the side. The camera fits perfectly in the cage, accessing the battery door is very easy. I love the red shutter button. It feels better and easier to press then the original camera button.

I recently picked up the DJI Osmo Action 6 and was looking for a way to protect it during use while also giving myself more options for mounting accessories. The Action 6 is a capable little camera, but on its own it doesn’t have any attachment points for things like a microphone or a fill light. Right out of the box, the cage felt solid and well-made. It's machined aluminum, so it has that nice reassuring weight to it without feeling excessive - it only adds a couple of ounces to the overall setup. Fitting the Osmo Action 6 into the cage was straightforward, and the fit was essentially perfect. There's no wobble or looseness - the camera sits snugly inside the frame, which was exactly what I was hoping for. Once the camera was seated, I latched it closed and was happy with how secure the mechanism feels. All of the important buttons and ports remain accessible with the cage on - power and record buttons are all easy to reach without removing anything. The cold shoe mount on top was the feature I was most excited about, and it works well. I was able to attach a small light accessory without any fuss, and the 1/4" thread on the bottom makes it just as easy to thread onto a tripod or selfie stick. One thing worth noting is that the quick-release latch that secures the camera is positioned fairly close to the record button. It's not something that causes issues under normal use, but it's worth being aware of while you're still getting used to the layout - just a matter of building that muscle memory. This cage does exactly what a good camera cage should do - it protects the body, keeps everything accessible, and meaningfully expands what you can attach to your setup. The build quality feels premium for the price, and the fit for the Osmo Action 6 is spot on. One thing to keep in mind is that the battery compartment door cannot be opened while the camera is mounted in the cage, so you'll need to pop the camera out to swap batteries. That's a design trade-off, and not unique to this cage, but worth factoring in depending on how you shoot. If you're building out a more versatile rig for your Osmo Action 6 and want something that looks and feels the part, this is a solid pick.

The spring-lever door mechanism makes opening and closing the cage quick and easy, and the inside of the door includes padding to help protect the camera body and keep it from shifting. The shutter button extension also uses a spring mechanism, which helps maintain responsive button presses while the camera is inside the cage. The cage includes useful mounting options, including a 1/4" screw adapter and a cold shoe mount for accessories like microphones or small lights. This adds flexibility when building out a compact action camera setup for different shooting situations. This cage does supports my quick-release mount in vertical and horizontal mode. The vertical mount on the door also is magnetized as shown in the picture with the cage on white. The cage is on a metal drawer. The only potential long-term wear points appear to be the spring components, specifically the door lever and the shutter button extension. Springs are convenient for usability, but they are also typically the parts most likely to wear down over time. Aside from that, the overall construction feels solid and durable.

Another nice product from Neewer. light weight, and functional design, adds a cold shoe, a lanyard attachment point, and 1/4" - 20 threaded mount, the magnetic quick release gives you both a vertical and horizontal mounting point. The frame is durable and offers a bit of protection from dings and scratches. The cage allows quick access to all the necessary areas of the camera. It's very light weight and hardly noticeable when in use. My only concern is the release slide is close to the record button, I have hit the slide that releases the door that holds the camera securely inside the cage, I haven't quite opened it yet but in fumbling around I'm sure it's only a matter of time. However, this is not a product issue but a pay more attention issue for me just because I hit it doesn't mean you will
