Works great, space saver.

My first one was defective. It was very hard to secure the chrome cover to the wall bracket with the tiny screw… and finally after successfully installing the unit and testing it, the wire refused to retract back. But seller was super proactive and sent me a brand new unit based on my initial review. The replacement unit was a breeze to install. One recommendation to avoid loosing the tiny screw that secures the cover: secure the screw to the screwdriver with some masking tape, so it does not fall on the floor!

I needed something to hang over my kitchen sink to help dry wet dish cloths and scrubbies after doing the dishes/clean up. This unit fits my needs very nicely. The main receptacle and the opposite holder are metallic and the line itself is fine wire rope and is sturdy enough for my needs. I only need it to span a 38 inch distance, but the line stays nice and taut with 3 or 4 wet items hanging. I cannot affirm how it would do with a much larger distance and heavier items (like wet adult clothes), but the locking mechanism and wire quality seem well made and suggest it will work well if not over-burdened. Installation was easy, with templates for drilling a couple pilot holes on each end and straight forward attachment of the brackets. Easy to extend and retract the line with a twist lock to keep it taut. Well worth 5 stars as it is good value for the money and for my intended use.

The wall bracket is useless. The very small screw holds the top of the unit to the wall bracket, but the design of the mounting bracket does not hold the bottom of the unit to the wall, so it pivots on the top screw. We've spent way too much time trying to make the mount work. I'm super aggravated. Don't waste your time, money and stomache lining trying to get this poorly designed thing to work. Grrrr.

First, it was pretty easy to install but isn’t very sturdy. It worked great for all the light weight clothes I hung up and I had no issues. However, once I started hanging up some heavy wool pants and heavy winter clothes...I found it’s not very study. The mount to the way is a little weak and has popped off a few times. The wall plate is solidly mounted to a stud but the clothes line screw and clip to that wall mount is weak and it pops off sometimes. Now I notice that the line doesn’t retract back in all the way. I have to feed it a little manually to get it to go back in. All in all, I would buy something more sturdy next time. This would be fine for normal clothes and not too many items. Two pairs of thick wool pants popped the mount off the bracket. I bet the same would happen with 4-5 pairs of jeans.

Beautiful construction and materials

If installed properly, this is a 100% worth your money so much is that I had to buy another one! My dryer broke down -8° clothesline outside😂 not happening, spare room it is warm leave them overnight and Walla done and you don’t even have to leave it overnight depending on the material

The product arrived right on time. Very content with the delivery. The item is exactly as pictured and described, it was very easy to install, and all you need is a screwdriver. And the price was right! I'm happy with the results, and I started to use it right away. I installed it on my deck, and it is very comfortable to have it. In no time, the clothes were dry. The fresh outdoor smell of my clothes makes all the difference. It can be installed in the laundry room, on the balcony, or even on the porch. It is easy to use and I like it very much indeed. I am very confident in recommending this product to everyone interested.

Love this little gadget. Bought it for my conservatory and fitted it between 2 wooden beams to hang clothes on hangers to dry, making use of the free heat. This line is strong and easily holds up to 10 hangers in the space I have fitted it but could do more. Highly recommend. When not in use I simply let it wind the cable back and no-one knows its there.

I made sure to get this into a stud on both side and have been surprised with the amount of weight that its able to hold The wire is very good quality too and the line never slips when I put any clothes on it. Very highly recommend!

This product will snap if anything too heavy is placed on it and to be honest, I’m very reassured by that for fear any children decide to play on this clothes line it’ll break before anything more dangerous happens. Update Jan 2022: you know how sometimes you buy items that are great for months before they break? This clothes line has to be the best item I’ve ever bought from Amazon. Just sits there happily holding my clothes. It’ll hold three wet towels so long as you aren’t aggressively throwing them on. Remember like I said above, God forbid if a child ever did tamper with this clothes line I would WANT it to break immediately.
