Models disc herniations really well
I’m constantly demonstrating disc herniations to patients and this model works really well. I had previously purchased another one about a year ago, and just recently had to replace it. It gets daily use. The prior one had a small hole rupture in the disc after a year.

Affordable-Actively Engages my PT Patients BETTER than…
I LOVE this AFFORDABLE model. I am a physical therapist and find that patients LOVE handling this and squeezing/re-squeezing the model to see the “bulge”. It really brings home the activation of a disc bulge - and the importance of the annular ligaments - in a way that my use of traditional “whole body and spine skeleton models w herniated discs” - and the visual images have not. I find that my patients are engaged and actively asking more pertinent questions about the mechanics of their diagnosis/case, when using this model.

Poorly made
I have used these models for years. This one is made so tight (barely any space between the vertebrae) so the disc can’t be compressed properly to show the effect. Too bad!
