Floats!
I like that the float keeps the pole afloat if I drop it in the water, the float is long; which is necessary, but it covers the eyelet I use to hook the line to on the rod. Which is an inconvenience, but nothing major. I don’t notice an issue with the float moving when I cast, so I’m satisfied with this purchase.

Will save your rod
When this product came in, I thought it was too small to keep my fishing rods afloat. But after testing I can state this product will keep your fishing rod afloat.

Kayak fishing
Great for kayak fishing. Keeps rod and reel floating if dropped in water.

saved husband's fishing pole from dropping to bottom of pond when his kayak tipped.

The price for these are ridiculous for what they are
but they do work. It's just a little foam and a few velcro straps. You can make your own for much cheaper which is what I started doing.

They do work!
I troll for Crappie. My 13 year old grandson has lost 2 of my rods and my fishing buddy has lost 2 of my rods. Every once and a while the line wraps around the float. But hey I can deal with that. I am tired of loosing my rods.

Not bad for the price
I don't know how heavy of a rod and reel these will float, but there's only one way to find out! These are a pretty straightforward design with weak straps and if it fit you'd almost be better off using a pool noodle (feeding line might be an issue) on your rod. I think they are probably meant for lighter spinning tackle based on their size.
