Top quality, old school borosilicate glass
This measuring cup is tremendously well made. It is borosilicate glass, which is the good old stuff like Pyrex used to be, and the spoutvis actually designed to where you can pour liquid out of it without it going all over the place. My coffee maker sure as heck won't do that.

Solid value!
The shape of the cup is wider than I expected and less tall. Not that that should really make a difference, just pointing it out as I was used to, and expecting, a taller and thinner cup. Otherwise a perfectly good cup at a reasonable price.

Makes a mess & markings wear off quickly
Would give zero stars, if possible. Markings washed off in less than 6 months with infrequent use & liquid goes everywhere unless you pour extremely slowly. Buy something else.

The label -- seriously??!
I just received it and the cup itself seems fine, but whose boneheaded idea was it to put the label on the INSIDE of the bottom of the cup?! Two stars off just for that. You have to be a contortionist to grab onto the edge of the label, and it's not one of those labels that peels off easily and neatly. It tears apart and leaves residue. I guess I will have to let it soak for a while in hot, soapy water and hopefully the rest of the label/adhesive will come off. But seriously, it's dumb and a totally unnecessary source of aggravation!

Awkward handle, but otherwise excellent
I like that this is borisilicate glass. I like that it has a wide opening and flat bottom, which will make it easy to use a whisk. My quibbles are minor: the handle feels too short to give good balance, and is a bit uncomfortable because there is no "thumb-dip" in the top of the handle. I'll be lifting this with both hands when anywhere near full. A minor 'what were they thinking?' is that the Farberware sticker is put inside, and is difficult to remove. On the whole, none of these complaints are deal-breakers, especially since Pyrex no longer sells borosilicate glass in the US, and this is a good price for this size cup.

The only borosilicate cup I could find on Amazon
Update Jan 2024 I just wanted to change my earlier advice about using wd40 to clean sticker residue. Wd40 will not work anymore. I'm not sure but I think the wd40 formulation mightve changed. Or at least has been tweaked because it used to work about 20 years ago. But now it doesn't do squat. So now my suggestion is use acetone. I know for a fact acetone will clean stubborn sticker residue right off. The problem is acetone tends to damage plastic. If the sticker residue is on glass then there's no problem. But ever since I realized wd40 wasn't working anymore, I got desperate and tried acetone and it actually worked on plastic with minimal damage. So what I did was wet a micro fiber cloth with some acetone and simply wiped it off. Do not leave acetone on plastic. It will melt it. But a cloth dabbed in acetone seems to work quite well. ok that's it. Update May 2022. Wow. I just noticed the price change and had to comment. Back in June 2020, this cup was only $11.99 or $9.60 with a 20% discount. But as of today, May 6, 2022, I see the price is now $29.32. Yes I know this is Amazon and the prices here are constantly changing (Sometimes daily it seems.) But a near 300% jump in two years is quite a steep. Fortunately, Faberware isn't the only 1000ml borosilicate glass measuring cup on Amazon anymore. There are other options available now. As for the Faberware meassuring cup. It has held up great. I still use it today. June, 4 2020 This is pretty much the only borosilicate measuring cup you will find on Amazon in this size and at this price. Unlike some reviews, I didn't have any issues with the sticker. It came off easily and left no residue at all. If it did, Just use WD-40 and it will clean it right off. I've used WD-40 to cleanly remove roofing tar off my hands, so sticker residue is nothing. Just make sure to wash the cup thoroughly afterwards. The spout hasn't been problematic either. It pours just fine. But I do tend to pour slowly so maybe that's why. If the spout was an issue, I'd just take my propane torch and carefully heat the spout and just shape it better. It's Borosilicate glass. thermal shock won't break it. It can but not if you know what you're doing.
