This stand, otherwise known as a "deadman" stand from back in the day is a solidly constructed piece for a great price point. The welding the stand is spot on, nicely powder coated, and comes with two interchangeable attachments, one for axles/driveshafts and the other for exhaust or anything that a pad would be used to hold up. Both pieces are fit with rubber padding for non-marring. The only thing I would suggest or criticize would be that a pin with chain could be added to hold the one piece you aren't using at the moment. In a busy garage when things get separated they get lost or misplaced. The spin jack handles are nicely fit with a rubber grips like you would find on a hammer. Perhaps some adhesive might help with keeping those from spinning around but a nice touch overall. The adjustment handle rides on ball bearings for smooth up and down motion. I've wanted one of these for a while and for the price point and quality, I'll be getting a second!

Arrives in a brown with decent packaging, foam that separates the pieces from each other and an extra layer of cardboard. Box arrived in tact but this could have been due to being shipped in another box that it was bouncing around in. The instructions are fair at best, shows another model with a different base and the paper was damaged. However putting it together is straight forward and should not be a problem. The biggest problem was screwing in the pole into the base, it would go in about 3 threads then become very hard to turn. After a few tries, to make sure there was no cross threading. It eventually went all the way down and wasn't as tough to screw in. Has 2 different type of saddles as shown and the same design. I would recommend adding some light grease/lube to the bearings and the threads. The finish of the support is probably what you expect from this price point, a little rough in areas but overall decent.
