Would this be good on my Doberman?

I’ve never needed to use a deshedder on my Dobermans. A smooth brush is all they need. This is made for dogs with double coats such as my German Shepherd.

How do I get. A replacement comb for my gonicc grooming brush?

You can’t. You just buy a new one when the old one wears out.

My cat has some mats/tangles on her ruff. she's a domestic shorthair - would the gonicc dematting comb be an appropriate solution for her?

I have a Yorkie.It works well on getting matts out, but you have to hold the hair so it doesn't pull the skin and hurt her

Will it work on a long hair matted cat

I don't know anything about grooming a cat, but this should okay on a dog for removing mats because the manufacturer advertizes it as a "DEMATTING comb". I have a similar comb and it "demats" better than any other style of dematting comb. Lightly spritz a liquid detangler on a small area befor combing that area. Move to the next area and spritz and comb that area. Detangler makes a big difference on my Bichon. Hope it works for you.
