Cherry chess set is made from the best pieces of cherry and birch wood and is perfectly finished by hands. Dark squares are carefully prepared to a beautiful brown colour. Lighter squares are left as pale natural wood and are lacquered with perfect finish. Playing pieces are made from cherry wood which are carved and painted by hands. Board lines, numbers and letters are near black. The dark playing pieces are stained in the same colour as the dark squares on the board. The chessboard have a high gloss lacquered finish. Not as well finished as it appears.
Reasonably decent wooden chess set. Not as good finish/quality as you would hope. Perhaps its simply a reflection of the cost and I expect too much.
