Accurate, durable, and a must-have for roofing pros!
This Pitch & Slope Locator works perfectly — super accurate and easy to read! The size is just right for carrying in a tool pouch, and the durable plastic material feels solid without being bulky. Great functionality and versatility for roofing, framing, or general leveling. It sticks well to metal surfaces and makes checking pitch fast and effortless. Great tool.
I wish I would have had this when first building my patio cover as it would have saved me some heartache about finding the exact pitch on a slope. If you are building anything with a slope you need one of these to find precise slopes. Super easy to use handy when needed. Great addition to the tool box.

Small print and slides easily, but works well otherwise
This pitch gauge works well, but I have two complaints which cost it a star. 1 - The font used is thin and small. It can sometimes be difficult to read the gauge. 2 - The hard plastic frame does not grip the surface which it is set upon. As a result, it tends to slide even on minor slopes.

a little sticky on the pendulum
Pretty nice, for the price point. I bought this because of the dual-scale, because I'm too lazy to do the math these days. The pendulum is a bit sticky and I need to tap it a few times to verify the reading. I use this for quick-and-dirty stuff and it's pretty rugged. I use my digital angle finder for more precise measurements.

Was working with odd angles in the roof of our 1914 farmhouse. Pitch just wasn't was expected. Purchased this bip and was able to solve all my issues. Super durable blow molded plastic means this will survive most encounters. Functionality is superb and allows a noob to read it with speed and ease. This and a miter saw mean framing perfection.

A very good tool with both degrees and pitch on it. If you need to find the pitch of a roof (for example, to decide what tile / vent tile is suitable, or if certain roof windows are within tolerance for your roof) then this is very good. It is possible to perform the same calculation manually - involving a ruler/measuring tape, however I felt there was more certainty using the tool and it allowed me to trial a number of scenarios. If you need to convert between degrees and pitch, it's also very handy and removes any need to consult how-tos online. Truthfully, as a DIYer, it takes a little getting used to, but it was a rapid learning process. It put my mind at ease in relation to the pitch of a roof on an old extension, and will come in handy for future projects. I'd recommend it as a purchase if you need to find pitch.

Not sure why I ordered this, seen similar things in American construction manuals. Made from plastic and appears flimsy -ish, however proved otherwise. Used a surprisingly good number of times. Accurate, fits in pocket, easy to read, would certainly recommend. Unlikely that any of your neighbours will have one. Very handy due to its size in the workshop. Took a few days to arrive. Well packaged.
