Optiphen is an all natural preservative, Optiphen PLUS is mix of Optiphen with a small amount of Sorbic Acid to provide additional protection against mold and bacteria.

Yes, I used it with a lotion that contained aloe and oatmeal.

I keep my optiphen in a cool even temp location. Works for me.

If you heat back up to liquify then add , it shld be good as long as it didn't sit for a long time in that face and let bacteria grow
