beautiful book with a very varied selection of projects to do. this isn't a book for those beginning embroidery though, although it would be worth getting with an aim to do some of the projects in the future! i've only completed one project so far and the only issue i found is it was difficult to find some of the materials required in the UK. instructions are very clear and the list of items required is very comprehensive. couldn't recommend highly enough!

I bought this book for the design featured on the front cover and it's worth the price for this alone. Beautifully produced, with wonderful photographs and stitch instructions,the projects (all by top designers) are really inspiring. Charts of the designs are provided in a pocket at the back of the book. Highly recommended for anyone with a passion for needlework. I'm delighted with it!

This is a most beautiful book, make you want to pick up your embroidery equipment straight away regardless of what there is to be finished, only problem is the book is so very heavy and a big problem when with only one hand that works space is needed to lay the book down at the page wanted open, but still a very delicious beautiful book. Thank you

An absolutely beautiful book. This is a hardback book with 12 delightful needlework projects . It covers whitework, stumpwork,crewel Embroidery , needle painting with full instructions/patterns inserted into a back sleeve. A treasure to view even if you never attempt.

There is nothing much to criticise this book for. It is beautifully photographed and the designs are exquisite. The level of skill needed to replicate the designs is advanced ++. That’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars. The website offers kits to complete a number of their designs from their publications, both their books and their quarterly magazines. Most of the kits contain fabric which doesn’t have the design printed on it (some do, to be fair) so you have to transfer complex details yourself but what REALLY annoys me is that in most cases if you want the instructions you have to buy one of the publication separately. A magazine is about 12 Australian dollars plus postage and the books £20 +. Some of the kits cost 200+ Australian dollars but they still expect you to fork out money for the publication to get the instructions - how parsimonious is this? So I for one won’t be using their website. I was going to take out a subscription for the magazine but I’m in two minds now!

Splendido libro sul mondo del cucito creativo. A differenza di quasi la totalità delle pubblicazioni che finora ho acquistato o soltanto visto in libreria o qui su Amazon questo libro tratta diverse tecniche di ricamo tra cui sfilatura e ricamo a tre dimensioni. I progetti sono 12 molto diversi tra loro. A mio parere uno o forse due progetti sono piuttosto banali mentre gli altri sono estremamente piacevoli. Ogni ricamo è realizzato da una grande artista nel campo del ricamo come ad esempio una delle mie ricamatrici preferite Trish Burr, della quale vi consiglio le pubblicazioni, purtroppo manca invece un lavoro di Antonietta Monzo Menossi, una delle mie ricamatrici preferite in assoluto e di cui vi consiglio il libro sulle sfilature. i progetti proposti sono molto interessanti c'è un bellissimo pavone, dei fiori che potete vedere anche in copertina, dei progetti tipicamente autunnali, una veduta marina che è quella che a me non è piaciuta moltissimo e anche un interessante esempio di cifre ed iniziali. l'inizio del libro presenta vari progetti con foto a tutta pagina piene di colori ed estremamente suggestive, la seconda parte spiega passo passo come realizzare questi lavori ed una piccola terza parte, direi un'appendice, è composta da due grandi fogli di carta molto leggera piegati su se stessi da staccare con la silhouette da seguire se si vogliono realizzare i disegni proposti nel libro. sconsiglio questa pubblicazione a coloro che non hanno mai ricamato, per quanto ci siano le spiegazioni e le foto sono ricami troppo difficili per un principiante. lo sconsiglio anche a coloro che vogliono approfondire una sola tecnica. lo consiglio invece proprio come dice il titolo a coloro che già ricamano da un po' e desiderano avere delle ispirazioni per idee nuove e innovative. Il libro è completamente in inglese e molte spiegazioni non hanno foto, non posso dire con certezza sia fruibile da coloro che non hanno padronanza della lingua PRO lavori molto interessanti tecnica e varia da cui prendere spunto ottima qualità della carta bellissime foto grande formato utili le copertine lunghe che possono servire da segnalibro utile il segnalibro stesso bellissimi colori splendida la presentazione di ogni lavoro proposto CONTRO libro interamente in inglese avrei voluto qualche foto in più dei passaggi e non solo la spiegazione scritta

C'est un livre de broderie magnifique,qui bénéficie d'une très belle mise en pages.On y trouve 12 projets de broderie,avec toutes les explications détaillées et en photos.Bien que le livre soit en anglais,ce n'est pas un obstacle à la réalisation des broderies.Deux grandes pages de gabarits en grandeur réelle,sont jointes au livre,qui est relié et de belle qualité !Les techniques de broderie sont diversifiées,broderie traditionnelle,hardanger,stumpwork,peinture à l'aiguille..; ,mais on ne trouvera pas de point de croix!

So so so beautiful! Wonderful products demonstrating all the wonderfulness that is inspirations magazine, pulled into one book. Patterns by Trish Burr, and many more, full size patterns and instructions for hardanger, needle painting, stump work and so many other glorious things. If you are interested in making sweet sweet embroidery, pick this up.

For all of the hand embroiderers out there, this is the book for you. There are many beautiful projects from many famous designers. The projects include: stumpwork, needle painting, monograms, whitework. This book is a joy to behold, beautiful color photographs and very specific, clear instructions. This book would be wonderful as part of every stitchers library !!
