It lasted approximately 6 months before it started spitting hot water. It’s such a wonderful little creation. But, for the amount I paid thinking I was taking an easy shortcut, I could have just bought two sets of the pots. Different size, even. I’ve learned. Paying more may sometimes cost you.

I've often been annoyed with double boilers, because the melted chocolate or what have you ends up trapped in the ridges of the top pot. This product is amazing. It is completely seamless which makes transferring simple. Furthermore because the water is boiled in the contained unit when you remove the item from the heat you can allow it to sit, without the liquid cooling. Which is genius.Seriously I will never ever ever buy another double boiler again.The only issue is that the company's shipping practices are awful and they don't pad the box, which means the first one of these I received had a broken handled!

Very nice, I used it and works great. Very handy for melting chocolate. I was surprised to see it was made in china, but quality is good!

The handle flap where you put the water broke as soon as I got it. Still works great.

Finally a pot that really makes perfect Hollandaise Sauce that doesn’t Curdle..

Good but a little bit too big

This was a great buy for me. I thought it would be smaller, but i was pleasantly surprised because it is short but 6 " wide. It covers the width of a typical stove element (smaller 6"). It is sturdy and works fantastic!!!. What a great bain marie. Super easy to use and an easy cleanup. What more can I ask. My husband loves it for heating up warm milk without the hassle of accidentally flowing over....but I have ended up using it almost daily for a wide variety of cooking uses. I was really impressed and I highly recommend this pot. De buyer is a wonderful company and I was glad that I purchased this based on that knowledge. I'm a happy cook.

Exelente olla, aunque es más pequeña de lo que aparenta en las fotos.

Habe schon einige Simmertöpfe über die Jahre gebraucht - immer gab es Probleme am Griff, bzw. beim Verschluß und dem Dampfventil.Natürlich wurde auch bei diesem Simmertopf das Rad nicht neu erfunden - aber gerade die Einfüllöffnung mit dem Verschluß erscheint mir stabiler als bei diversen Vorgängermodellen.Derweilen sehr zufrieden - Kaufempfehlung
