Great retro controller for a good price.
I have the black version of this controller, and I have to say that's it's very good for a modern third party controller. It's ergonomic design and button spread feel really natural in my hands. The build quality is also pretty good for the price range. The d-pad is very close to what you will find on the original SNES controller, so close that you would be hard pressed to actually find a difference other than the color. The Retro-bit d-pad may have a little more give to it, but again it's really hard to tell. The select and start buttons are a wider rectangular shape, which again I like. The X,Y,B,and A buttons are where you are really going to find the differences. They are color coded like the SFAM controller, but also sport the concave and convex buttons of the SNES version. These buttons look and feel a little on the cheap side, and are a lot more loose feeling. I don't mind this so much, but people who are used to a very tight SNES feel may have a problem with it. The other major difference is that the buttons are spread out further than the original SNES. This again doesn't bother me. If you have larger hands or are prone to hand cramps from playing games I find this to be a bit more comfortable.Aside from the ergonomic design the shoulder buttons are a huge plus on this thing. As revolutionary as the SNES controller was I always found the L and R bumpers to be cumbersome especially the L bumper. On the retro-bit they've moved the buttons out to a more natural grasp, and the button are fatter and stick out more, giving you easy access to them. The biggest feature is the shape of controller the bottom "wings" make it to where your ring and pinky finger will naturally curl around it similar to the three button Genesis controller, but it uses more modern controller shapes to make the buttons easily accessible. It's comparable to the original SNES controller in size, and I recommend this for people with bigger hands. The looseness gives the controller a well played feel, but could be a turn off for Nintendo fans who really enjoy a tight controller. Overall it's worth taking a look at if you're in need of a second controller for the SNES, and for the price of a used SNES you can get two of these brand new.

save your money
feels absolutely terrible. cheap feel in your hands, dpad has no pivot point, its one of those dpads where you press one direction but the entire dpad activates at the same time. avoid at all costi would use it to modify for other things ie. take the pcb out and make an arcade stick
