I really need a knife to help cut freshly baked crusty bread. Anybody had experience with this knife for that purpose?

This knife is no good for crusty bread. I bought it to cut my home made sourdough. It just sits on the crust, the best you get is a scratch on the surface. If you force it through, the blade flexes and bends making it impossible to get a good slice.

Will this knife slice through a square Salt Pork Bacon???

It might, but I have only used it on roast meats, ham, bread, angel food cake,all of which it cuts through with no problem

Is this good for cutting fabric or plastic?

Fabric, no..maybe lightweight plastic.. for sure it will foam.
