Cedar Essence Cedar Sachets (6 Pack)

I broke my foot and needed to wear pretty much the same shoe for a few weeks in the summer. So yeah that shoe smelled awful by the second week. I didn't want to spend too much money on cedar blocks, and baking powder and activated charcoal just weren't working hard enough for me. I bought these instead, and love them. I switched a couple in and out of sitting inside my stinky shoe overnight, and it helped a lot. I remember they took quite a while to arrive in Chicago, but the package came with so many of these cute sachets that I've stashed them all over my apartment. Corners of my closets, inside a few nooks and crannies here and there. I heard that it can be poisonous for cats, but so far my cat has not seemed interested in them. I am very happy with my purchase, and have not noticed that the smell has weakened even months later

Great scent and dries out my boxing gloves. I've gone through a couple of differnet brands so far this one last the longest (about a year). My only complaint is that it comes slightly open so you will get some cedar chips spilling off. Fortunately, the drawstring is long enough to tie a knot in the opening.

I was very anxious to receive this item and smell the long awaited aroma of my old cedar chest. It stinks! I don't seem to be able to find anything about it that smells like cedar and now I own 12 of these little bags that I paid over $15 for. I would return this item, but I'm afraid the postage is probably at least half the cost of the item. Plus, there are little flakes of brown all over the outside of the bags.....I'm assuming it's flakes from the bark inside the bags. No, I will not be purchasing this again. Sorry it wasn't more of what I was expecting.

Hardly any cedar scent

These cedar sachets are wonderful! The cedar fragrance is strong but not overpowering. Size is twice that of others I've purchased elsewhere, and the bag is more substantial. Price was also cheaper. All around, excellent.

A few years ago, we had a huge blossoming of oak moths in our area. Every few years, you can literally see swarms of them as their larvae morph into hungry little flying guys who lay then find a place to lay their own eggs, and the circle goes on. That particular year, the moths took over my food cabinets and caused havoc. I had to toss out lots of my starchy products including flour, crackers, cookies, and sugars, as well. It was gross! So after the cleanup and putting as much as possible into plastic bins, I ordered these little cedar sachets and put them in food cabinets as well as into other clothing cabinets in the house. Since that time, I haven't seen any moth-takeovers of my pantry and closets--the appear to ward off moths quite well in a safe and natural way. Very pleased!

This pack of cedar sachets is not only a good bargain and smells great, but you will really appreciate the afterlife if you sprinkle them with essential oils.
