Antigua and Dominica Travel Map 1:35k/1:50k Map – February 19, 2014

I purchased this map for the Antigua side.The map itself is quite large when opened... 38"x 26". It is made of heavy coated paper thus very sturdy. It quite detailed and easy to read due to it's large size. On the Antigua side there are also small inserts of the city of St John's and The Dockyard affording greater detail. Adding to the list of inserts are small overviews of Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, St Martin, St Barth's and an overview of the surrounding Caribbean islands all of which are small inserts and not useful if you're driving but informative none the less.The Dominica side is huge. It is just of Dominica and a detailed insert of Roseau.We rented a car for our stay in Antigua and this will guarantee we will not get lost!!!! LOLWorth every cent.1/25/15 UPDATE!!!! Just returned from Antigua... the map is beautiful but basically useless because most of the roads do not have street signs. You're better off w the free map they give you at the car rental with landmarks i.e. gas stations, churches, etc! Guarantee... you will get lost! But, that's part of the fun, eh?

Bought this map for our trip to Dominica in March 2014. It was EXCELLENT! A must-have if you are planning on driving on the island. It was just the right size to fold it open to the sections of interest. One caution - the one-way roads are not absolutely correctly illustrated in the blow-up of downtown Roseau. The locals are very helpful though (with the clear marking on the rental cars) of honking and pointing you to the right way when you end up going the wrong way on the one-way roads. The topo lines on the map are nice. Order it on Amazon before you go - you can't find these on the island. We also highly recommend getting a GPS or downloading mapping software to your GPS before you go.

I wish I could find just a map of Dominica. I am not sure why Antigua is included on this map.

Great and accurate map - helped us a lot throughout our trip

If you are used to the accuracy of UK ordnance survey maps you will be disappointed. I have done a lot of walking on the island of Antiqua - probably more than I would have done had I had a better map. For example the hotel I am staying in is incorrect by about 500metres so its proximity to the road is confusing. Landmarks are incorrectly positioned so you never quite know your starting point. . I have used it every day but in conjunction with google maps on my smartphone/tablet.

A large scale useable map, somewhat out of date in places. Some of the 'roads' marked are little more than dirt tracks and there has been more development in some parts. Also some omissions of things worth seeing so best use in conjunction with web checks or the inferior free handout maps you get at the airport.

It is what it is. A good scale map of both countries, which is essential even if intending to use a GPS device, as the West Indies sat-nav maps are weak in the extreme.

Good map to give you a decent overview of Antigua, we used it to plan our days out but the Sat Nav in the car or on the phone is a must.

Large scale, and seems pretty accurate. We used it cycling.
