I’ve put these Merrell Accentor 3’s through a few long hikes and they’ve been nothing short of reliable. The fit is true to size, with just enough room in the toe box without feeling sloppy. The cushioning is supportive but not overly squishy, so my feet never felt tired even after hours on rocky trails. The traction grips well on both wet rocks and dry dirt paths, which gave me a lot of confidence on uneven terrain. They’re lightweight, break in quickly, and look good enough to wear off the trail. If you want a dependable, comfortable shoe for hiking or everyday outdoor use, these are a great choice.

These Merrell hiking shoes are very comfortable, lightweight, and sturdy. Previously, I had a couple of pairs of Keen Targhee hiking shoes that were great and waterproof, but quite heavy. They were great for longer hikes, or in wet environments, but overkill for ~5-mile day hikes in dry California weather. I was also pleasantly surprised by the fit. I expected them to be a bit small, and I almost ordered a wide version. I'm glad I didn't. The normal-width shoes I received have plenty of room in the toe, and the toe box is plenty wide. In other words, these shoes run a bit large, which worked out perfectly for me. I've only used these shoes a couple of times, so time will tell how well they hold up. That said, I'm very impressed so far by the quality and comfort of these shoes.

I got the Accentors to replace my Keen Targhas that finally died after 7 years. I had good luck with the Merrell MOAB boots, so I thought these would be worth a try. The size to fit seems pretty spot on - I normally wear 10.5 and the 10.5 fits perfectly. They were pretty comfortable right out of the box, but within a week, they were well-broken in, and at two weeks of daily wear, they fit like a glove. I did replace the laces with shock cord because I'm too lazy to tie shoes and those keep good tension to keep excellent fit while hiking (I keep the actual laces in my pack just in case I need them). The grip is good whether I'm in the office or on a trail and these are lighter than the 5.11 and Keens I used before these. Overall, I really like these as a "do everything" pair of shoes.

I got these to wear around the house, but went hiking with them on my feet by mistake one day. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my feet felt just fine. The aggressive tread pattern handled the rough trails well. Good sturdy shoes!!

Fit well and are comfortable during 8 to 10 hour work day. But says water proof witch was entire reason I bought them for work. I work around inches equipment with water cooling so needed shoes that could walk in puddles and handle dripping water with out having soaking feet all day. I have wore Merrell as work shoes for 10 years and the ones that dont claim to be waterproof have held up better than this pair . If your buying for comfortable hiking shoe then great purchase for you. If you are actually looking for a waterproof shoe look elsewhere, maybe one of the other styles they sell.
