This is a funny and well illustrated book my kids love

This is a well loved story from days on library work so a must for a grandchild. It is great fun to read aloud.

My pre-k and K aged little ones adore this whole series of “old lady” books.The rhythm and rhyme of it is a lot like the little old lady who swallowed a fly, but there’s a whole set of stores for various holidays and birthdays and such where there’s different items she swallows.My kids find it funny.Note there’s a difficult word here and there for a grade 1-2, but in general the pattern of it is also helpful for emergent readers to gather steam reading it with a lot of repetition.It won’t be my first or last old lady book from this series.Overall I’d highly recommend it.

These books always make my kid laugh. We have a small collection going on and I love buying them for holidays such as this Easter one that I stuck in her Easter basket.
