Great Minnesota Hot Dish

I'm pretty neutral on this book. I was not quite sure what to expect. Its not a bad book at all and I will be making the Tamale Chicken Hot dish today. If I find that I'm not all that crazy about it, I'll donate it to my favorite library for their book sharing program.

I love cookbooks and this one is a good one.

I got the original older edition which was rather outdated. I can’t say if the later edition is any good, I haven’t seen it.

We just got this and have only tried about 6 of the recipes but they have all been better then we expected and better then our usual hot dishes.

Being a lifelong Minnesotan I was a little disappointed that there were only a couple of hot dishes in the book that I am familiar with. I know of alot more that would have been better suited for the book. There were too many "side dishes".

Lots of good recipes

I love the recipes in this book. They are all easy and use common ingredients. There are tons of good ideas in here. It's not just for Minnesotans either, anyone would like these recipes. I originally picked this up from my local state park and the attendant there had purchased it also. She told me she loved it as well. I then came to Amazon to pick this up for a pregnant friend since I knew the recipes were easy to make.
