Easy to read and excellent quiz questions. I learned a lot even when i thought i understood the convention.

This is the most important book by Seagram to help people improve their bridge game. It is not for beginners, but for those who have some understanding of the game of duplicate bridge. Although the first 3 books by Seagram are good, the are more appropriate for the beginner.

As a newer bridge player, this has reduced the times I am frozen in fear not knowing what to bid, with everyone staring at me! You know the feeling, right? This answers a lot of the questions you have when you have absolutely no idea what to bid. Everything is written in clear, concise language with a bit of humor thrown in. I am grateful that Barbara Seagram has written all the "25" books - I would have given up ages ago without them.

I have a huge bridge library. This book and its companion book make a great set of "BEST SOURCE" books for intermediate players - 25 Bridge Conventions You Should Know" and "25 Ways to Compete."Very readable, well illustrated with clear examples, its a breezy way to get in-depth knowledge.Not since Bill Root (world's best bridge instructor) passed away, have I read something so straight forward, and clear, on what could be a very complex topic.The authors make it seem easy, not intimidating.I loved it.

Basic with good practice problems.
