Nice chair, hard to hang properly.
Great item. This is a very good hanging chair. I was going to buy a swingasan from Pier 1 that was much more expensive. The only problem with those are they are very large and after taking the measurements it would not work unless you had really high ceilings. This is perfect for hanging in a room without taking up too much space.Hanging it was not fun. First you will have to buy hanging hard ware and a rope. I bought this rope https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CAGUHH2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this hanging item https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07349ZS7C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1.The real difficulty is finding a good spot to suspend it from the ceiling. Odds are you will not have a beam in the exact spot you want to hang it. This is where the real problem comes. First I found the spot in the ceiling where I wanted to hang it. I then drilled a small hole and saw it was not the location of a beam. I then inserted a wire hanger into the hole. I then had to get into my attic to locate the spot I wanted to hang it. This happened to be between two beams. I then cut a piece of 2x6 to fit between the beams in this spot. I used a rafter hanger to give extra support and to make sure I did not stress the drywall. Based on how your attic is, this is a very dangerous venture. You will most likely be in a narrow corner of you attic. It is very hot and you risk falling through the ceiling if you are not careful. I would not recommend doing this unless you are very comfortable doing it.After that it was very easy to hang. The hook kit I had did not have good screws and they stripped. I used deck mate screws instead that went right in. It is very sturdy and the chair looks really nice. However unless you are very mechanically inclined it would be hard to do without professional help.

Fun chair swing! Good quality!
The chair looks fantastic hanging up! This chair is quite comfortable. The ropes are sturdy and good quality--better than expected for the price. We used hardware from a local store to install in the ceiling. Our installation included hanging it from a secured wooden block on the ceiling. The ropes for the swing are a bit short--if your tall or an agile kid then it's not a big deal. As a "tall' family with six footers, the height is fine. The shorter kids just use a step stool or the piano bench to climb up. (Sadly, the piano bench has never gotten so much use.) We haven't lowered it yet, as the kids like it higher for now. Hanging height adjustment could be done easily with supplies from any hardware store, and if you want an average sitting height or have higher ceilings then you will need to buy supplies to lower it. The swing holds an average adult weight without breaking, so far. The ropes are thick, so I doubt they will break soon. Even though we've only had it about 2 weeks, it has gotten plenty of use--favorite chair in the house!

Simply beautiful addition to any space.
Love! Love! Love! I purchased these chairs to put in our bayview window, and I couldn't be happier. We ordered 1 chair at first, hung it up and just had to get a second. One thing to note....we were concerned when we hung the second chair to find the ropes were shorter than the first chair, then realized it was because the chair need to be sat in to stretch the ropes. Now the length matches the other chair. Phew!! I am pretty particular and would not have been happy if we had to adjust the length of the hanging hardware and they didn't match one another. These arrived fairly quickly. Hanging was easy peasy. And they look absolutely beautiful. While they are comfy, I do think a cushion would be a good thing as I think sitting for a long period of time might become uncomfortable. That said I remain thrilled with this purchase.

Holds the heavies. Good quality.
I got this for my daughter as a gift. Easily holds 3 adult people, swinging and all. Much better quality than expected or pictured. Seems to be holding up in the heat too.

10/10 RECOMMEND!!!!
I loved my Sorbus Hammock Chair Macrame Swing. It is totally affordable and unbeleively comfortable!! I’m moving into a Farm Style Home this upcoming july and it fit the style of my room perfectly. Although this product was great for me, I would’ve loved to receive the parts to hand the chair. When it came in the mail I was super excited to hang it but in the process of opening it, i realized there was no rope or string to hang it with. If i has to do it over i defiantly still would’ve purchased this item. It is a GREAT fit for me:))

Great porch swing
Purchased as a gift for friends who moved to a new place and can suspend the seat from screw-hooks in the ceiling of a screened-in porch. Product appears to be of good quality and workmanship so it made a good gift. So far, it seems to be everything we expected.

These swings are a must!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased these swings for my daughters who absolutely love them! I wanted swings that had a backing for safety purposes, given the area that they are in which is part cement. They were easy to set up and are holding their durability. They look so beautiful on my back porch! The only issue is that they did not come with any hardware to hang them. I actually purchased the hooks separately. Other than that, we love them!

Hidden spot
I put the swing in the middle of a weeping cherry tree. The tree overlooks the valley below. My granddaughter loves her shady hidden spot surrounded by draping branches covered in leaves. There are many breaks in the leaves so she can see all around while being obscured from the outside. I put a couple of big stones near the chair so the swing could be set a little higher off the ground. I also hung a thick soft rope near the swing so she has something to grab as she gets in and out of the swing. Once you sit back is the swing you can relax and float. I tested the swing. The swing held my 280 pounds with no issues. I was very comfortable. In my situation, do recommend three things. The extra rope for getting in and out of the chair. A plastic cover to keep the swing dry when my granddaughter is done. Use a thick strap to wrap around the tree branch. Any strap will work, but a thicker strap will put less stress on the branch. Lastly use a carabiner clip to connect the swing to the strap. This way you can easily remove the swing from the tree.
