Sturdy bars, end caps could be better quality, noisy at highway speeds
I purchased these as "used" from Amazon. This review is mostly about them. Came in original box, but the end caps were completely destroyed. should have been packed better and built better. Purchased new end caps from the manufacturer and still saved money. Good cross bars seem super strong, but heaps of highway noise/whistling.

Good product, great service
I received the crossbars and had to wait to install them. When I did, I noticed that one of the end caps was damaged by the way I stored the package - completely my fault. I emailed to find out how to order a new set and was offered a replacement set at no charge. I reiterated it was my fault and would happily pay. The agent took my address and sent them at no cost. Simply amazing in today's market. I am a Surco customer for life now.

Know your vehicle
This product did not come close to fitting my car even though I provided a description of my vehicle (2003 Mercedes Benz E 320, 4 DR Sedan, RWD, with sunroof. Never took the crossbars out of the package, because the brackets arrived ahead of time and were the main problem

Would not fit J500 roof rack
The quality seemed fine with this crossbar, but it would not work with the surco J500 bracket for my jeep.

A second set of hands makes installation easily
Had a difficult time finding a surfboard pad to fit the uniquely shaped rail. One paired with the mounting kit, it makes a very stable platform. rails did not come with end caps.

Broken End Caps
Product came damaged. It took me a few months to install them finally. Opened up the box and it was damaged and out of the return window unfortunately.

Great product!
Used with the Surco j600 and the Surco GM100 to mount a basket and roof awning on my 2015 JKU Wrangler. The UB53 are the perfect length and are a lot better quality than the photos suggest I installed 3 rails to support everything I use, very solid rails.

Works great
Item arrived with 3 out of the 4 end caps broken. I received them last minute so didn't have time to exchange them before my cross Canada trip. However, they still stayed in place as needed and really had no negative effect on its functionality. Mounted on my 2017 Jeep Rubicon 2 door. The rails did work great . Mounted a Curt roofrack onto it.
