Bon Fine Green Foam Float 12 in. x 4 in. x 3/4 in. with Wood Handle and Durable Aluminum Backing for Smooth Finishing

I used this to finish the concrete after coating my ugly cinder block walls. This tool made it unnecessary to perfectly smooth out the concrete with the metal float I applied the concrete to the wall with. I don't know that I would have been able to do that as a beginner. I applied the concrete, got this sponge float wet, and lightly rubbed the concrete with wet sponge. I bought two sponges, thinking one would get worn out but it didn't. It held up well. It looks great.

Great foam float that is very well made.

I used it for plastering interior walls. I try not to sand and at 1st I used a grout sponge...you know...that big orange kind. I have to say that [this] one makes feathering the edges much easier due to the fact that you re using the flat of the sponge...not just where your hands are holding the sponge in a grip.

Metal backing very weak, can easily be bent. Also metal edges are very sharp and will cut the foam after extended use.

Does the job as intended

Great float, use them for any mortar work. Great to have in a water bucket to keep your tools and area clean.

Works like it should. It is too bad they don't sell a replacement foam because eventually the foam does wear off. It will last much longer if you can get to the plaster before it starts to set up. Really nice for feathering the plaster out to zero when doing plaster repair work and you have to tie the new wet plaster into the old all ready hard plaster

Keep the sponge wet while smoothing out the repair.

The trowel arrived bent .this is due to overly light soft gauge metal backing used in its construction. Very poor quality.
