It's non-linear
I replaced a old Shimano 7-gear shifter with this because the rubber on the old shifter's hand/shifter had become brittle but it functioned well. After installing this and adjusting the cable and the micro adjusting nut, I can not make it work for all 7 gears. It always skips one. I can adjust it the nuts or the cable, but it will skip a different gear. I think the distance that it pulls the cable between each gear is not linear. I have found no other adjustment to change it for each gear.

Easy install and works great!I wish I had gotten more of the cable shields... I only got three with these shifters, and I needed 5.

Great Upgrade
Replaced my twist grips. Bike went back to a 21 speed from a 3 speed.

7 Speed shifter cable was to short.
The cable for the 7 speed shifter was 3 inches to short for my Rad Rover Power Bike. I had to go to a bike store and buy a new cable. Very disappointed!
