It is very firm, as the ad description says. Too firm for my liking, but that's not the products' fault. The reason for the 3 star review is because the material just seems a bit cheap and like it'll flake off easily, as well as the speckled design. Look to the picture - it'll show what I'm disappointed in more than words can.

I’m so in love with this foam roller!! It’s light weight, great material, high quality and the perfect size for a small person & home!As an athlete, with a spinal cord injury, good recovery techniques such as stretching and rolling the muscles out is very important for me.I’ve seriously improved the recovery time after my workouts, but also the quality of my daily life as well after incorporating this foam roller into my cool down/stretching routine.I would recommend this product to everyone of ALL levels of fitness! I have had back issues for...years now. Lots of things messed up, but basically I'm in the early stages of degenerative disk disease. My chiropractor recommended a foam roller to help loosen things up a bit. This one seemed to be the best deal, and the red/black was a must for me. I've only had it for a few days, but I do think it is helping. It's a sturdy material but super lightweight. I was a little unsure because of one review in particular that mentioned how the speckles are raised -- it isn't the speckles. It is some little design. Possibly for grippiness? Not sure. But you can only feel it when you actually touch the roller. When using it, you can't tell. I can't, at least. So no biggie at all.4 stars just because I haven't had it long enough to say how it works long-term. But it seems to work well so far to relieve some of the tightness/pressure!

The medium version is fine if you want to roll on your back. I have broad shoulders and there is still plenty of room for my back. I have had this product for months now. I use it everyday to crack my back. It still looks new and there is no denting whatsoever. The product is firm but not rock solid as some have claimed. If you at least has SOME muscle on your back, you'll be fine. Remember, don't roll any type of foam roller directly on your lower back!

I love this foam roller. It’s effective, light, and has a bit more give than my old roller (can’t recall what it was made of) so it doesn’t hurt as much. If you’re crazy right like I am this is great because it isn’t so painful that you don’t use it. My only complaint is I must have gotten the ugly duckling of the batch. I thought it would be black with a few speckles of orange to make it look dynamic. I wish I had exchanged it right away because I’d like to leave it out but it’s just so ugly.

This has been recommended to me several times, just kept putting it off but it works. Effectively relieves tight muscles with repeated use. The tough part is getting through the exercise, those muscles will complain. It's one of those weird it hurts but I like it kind of feelings. Just keep at it and you'll begin to reap the benefits. Product is the right size and firmness, very light weight and sturdy. The exterior has a nice smooth texture and grips just right with no slipping.

I use a foam roller at the gym but only just bought this one for myself at home. My foot was hurting real bad and I needed to take the time outside of the gym to roll it out. The next day my foot was sore but after that, the pain went away. Really works great for muscle soreness and breaking up the lactic acid around your sore muscles.Definitely recommend this product!!

I love this foam roller! It has helped so much in working to correct my anterior pelvic tilt. It’s a must use after a hard workout and is even great for just stretching on rest days. I’m very happy.I will also say that, at least in my eyes, the specks in my roller are way more pink than red. Which is exactly what I was hoping for so I am thrilled with that. But if you’re looking for a true red, this isn’t it.
