Review: A remarkable and an outstanding self help book. - The world wouldn't have been so beautiful, but for the people who imagined creatively different & believed in the possibility of what was beyond, set or written or written on the wall as impossible. The curious minds saw the difference and they made the difference by aiming the goals, sculpting their imagination into reality inch by inch while living their life passionately, toiling happily, involving themselves into their dreams and inturn making the world a better place for the mankind " ORIGNALS " by Adam Grant is one such book.By taking clues from the life stories, events and organizations associated with their success and failures of the past, the writer put forth his point of views in a systematic and scientific manner for the readers to pause and rethink. The best part is that as a reader you may find your space,to realign your thoughts & work, find the track that need to be followed and live a happier life and most importantly is that it, comes out of reading the book without any suggestion, advice or judgement from the author. You learn that it's ok to be unsuccessful in life, career etc but it's definitely not ok to live a life of what you think is right and not live. Adam Grant's idea is when we make a better place to live for ourselves aiming for our goals,it automatically, means that the world becomes better for the mankind. With multiple quotes, taking examples of both ups and downs, failures & Successful stories of remarkable people and organizations while putting before us an indepth analysis and data unbiasedly that touches the readers at the core point of their thought, & involuntarily makes them to Rethink, forming a clear perspective of their thinking that makes them approach to the goals from a positive and happier side.Yes, it did for me. We also learn, contrary to what we believed that procrastination of doing things is just to avoid doing the things or shying away from the responsibility.Delaying things may look like being unproductive but you learn that it is quite commendable, provided if you hold the thought with passion.Infact it will be a better resource for more creative works.Yes,time is money but hurrying to do things may not get the things as what we really wanted. Procrastinating things, associated with passion may not hold the quantity but in the long run, will be blessed with quality and sometimes making a way for generations after generations to remember and admire. We wouldn't have been still wondering and admiring "Monolisa" ,but for the number of years ,Leonardo da Vinci took, to bring out his painting & thus the best came out that reflects every aspect of his life time of experience. The genius in him came out not by sticking to a timeline or framed set of rules, but by his purity of thought & imagination reflecting his orignality. No wonder if you learn after reading the book that procrastination is as much a virtue as it is said to be a vice. The other important aspect that breaks the generally held myth is to know between a strategic optimist versus defensive pessimist. We are surprised to learn that in many ways and circumstances a defensive pessimist scores better as compared to a strategic optimist. An illustration of the same is quite brilliantly brought with that of an example of Lewis Pugh also called as human polar bear, who swam a full kilometer in ice cold freezing water in Antartica who made it not visualizing success but rather visualizing failure.Similarly there are multiple such examples which gives us an insight to live more creatively and the book may throw the light to live our lives from a positive perspective.Overall the book is a remarkable self help book with multiple take aways. Review: Good read - This is the second book by Adam grant after Give and Take. I love the experiments that the author mentions while elucidating how not to be a conformist? The book tells us how to think independently, how to communicate ideas, how to win opposition and many other things.overall enjoyed it.

A must read for everyone in any walk of life
I loved the originality and diversity of Adam’s research, and more importantly how he then connected it to how we could improve our lives in a simple and powerful manner. There are so many lessons to take for folks in the corporate world!

Good book
No comments on the contents of the book - it's a bestseller. But the delivery by Cloudtail India Private Limited (CIPL) is pathetic. Refer to the attached image and you'll see a wide crease along the length. And not just this book, CIPL is pretty bad at handling books in general.

Insightful & entertaining
An easy read, but at the same time educative, insightful and entertaining. I don’t regret spending time reading this book. Looking forward to reading Adam Grant’s other books.

Book for business enthusiasts and those who want to learn more about such topics
Book was nicely packaged and was only in a good condition for reading. There was small damage on one edge but it wasn't easily noticeable. Book is one of the bests for business enthusiasts and interested readers. I bought this after reading Zero to One by Peter Thiel. After that I chose this book after reading about Peter Thiel and his recommended books. Hope you like it.

Grant continues to highlighs the characteristics of the business leaders. the book reviews the different aspects of the Non-Conformists behavious and traits. As in his other books, Grant's style of writing makes the journey with the book very enjoyable.

This is a very good read, particularly if you’re willing to make use of the wisdom, to take action. I liked the chapter about procrastination, it made me consider the benefits of procrastination. I’ll no longer see procrastination as something negative, but something that can actually be beneficial to the development of innovation and ideation.
