These shoes are intended to be worn in areas and places with flammable gases, surgery rooms, as well as to protect the manufacture of electronic products ( PPE). It should be noted, however, that the ESD shoes can not provide appropriate protection against electric shocks, since they have a dissipative nature instead of being and electrical insulator. The eletric resistance of this kind of ESD footwear may be significantly modified by excessive humidity, chemical contamination or bending. These shoes may not perform its intended job if they are in contact with moderately wet floors, since the shoe, in this conditions, may become an electrical conductor [below 75KΩ (0.75MΩ)]. We recommend all regular users to perform an electric resistance test ( between 0.75MΩ and 35MΩ) of the shoe-sole set ( including the original insole with stainless steel filaments) at the location that the product will be used, and perform such tests on regular basis. If the shoes are worn under conditions they may be contaminated with chemical substances, users must always test the electrical properties before entering hazardous areas. To maintain its ESD protection you must not replace any part of the shoes ( including insole). The physical and chemical properties of these shoes subjected to testing are guaranteed for 180 days under regular conditions of use. To clean the shoes please use soaps and detergents with pH around 7.0 +/-10%.Do not dry shoes using ovens or heaters. You can also use sodium hypochlorite diluted in water.
