Best Tires On The Market
I've been riding on Drifters for the past few years and have never had a problem. The Drifter with FPS (Flat Protection System) is one of the best tires on the market, esp for the price. On this particular purchase I bought 2 new tires for $31/ea and saved over $20 because they were offered in "Like New" condition, both were brand new AND arrived early (nice work Amazon!) The inverted tread gives the best of both worlds with a slick, fast ride on pavement/hard pack and good traction on gravel, sand and light trail conditions. They perform well on wet surfaces as well. They're fast, quiet, and provide plenty of grip on the streets and light trails in San Diego. They look great on my bike and feel great too! They're also very durable and prevent flats in situations where other tires I've ridden on would not. Installation can be tricky but I've learned that if you inflate your tubes a little prior to installing it helps set the wire bead much easier bcuz they're very sturdy tires on and off the rim. I used to ride on Continental Town & Country's but they started making that model in India instead of Germany and the quality was no longer there, esp on the sidewalls. The Serfas Drifters are a superior replacement and I haven't found another tire that comes close. I ride at 55psi and put approx 6000 miles on my last set with plenty of tread left. Hands down the best tire on the market, imho.

After 700+ miles
I wanted to wait until I had some miles on these tires in different conditions. They are a very solid tire for the street and grass, preferably dry grass. They will slip as expected on wet grass and mud but this is my only negative however this is totally within my expectation. I did not buy this to be an off road tire so not truly a negative but hey, we want it all...The Good stuff:Great wear. The molded in Serfas name is still there on both front and rear tires after 725 miles of riding on Texas concrete. This is abrasive stuff and I like to get up out of the saddle and really pound it through twists and turns so I am really happy with the wear.Great grip. they claim this is a two compound tire and they grip like crazy in hard turns. I have scraped my SPD clip in pedals which are pretty narrow while pedaling around turns. Awesome!Great wet grip. I am completely happy with their wet grip on the street. They provide a lot of confidence.Good stability. No shake even when riding down steep hills at 40+ mph.Tough. No blow outs or punctures, yet and like all of us, I run over some unavoidable stuff and jump concrete curbs. All in all, I am very pleased with the performance, construction and wear. This is based my personal observations. While I am no professional rider, I have been riding for 36 years and average 100-125 miles a week between bikes. I have had a lot of bikes and equipment over the years and these tires rate really well IMHO. The tires are mounted on a Specialized Rock Hopper 29 hard tail. I weight a lean 194 lbs so I am not a light rider.IMHO, don't hesitate to purchase these for the appropriate conditions.

Great tire,no more problems with broken glass puncturing my tires.
These tires roll so effortlessly and are noticable from the first ride.Certainly worth the few extra dollars.

Quiet and smooth rolling!
What a difference over knobby tires. I've just done one 22 miles ride so far on these tires but I love them! That ride included pavement (nice grippy, secure feel), smooth dirt/ gravel (also nice grip) and and rougher dirt (still grippy), and these tires rode pretty comfortably and quiet on the street (no more droning). The ride gets a little jarring on rocky terrain because they don't absorb bumps as well as knobby tread does, but that's alright with me, the gain in grip and reduced rolling resistance (seat of the pants feeling, no data to support that) is worth it. Nice tires, let's see how they hold up mileage wise and against punctures.

Nice and quiet
These are great tires. The tread lasts forever. For a non knobby, it has pretty good grip on dirt trails. I usually ride paved trails. I like how smooth and quiet it rides. Rolling resistance is also low. If you are not riding single tracks, try these.

Actually impressive
Went on like butter... heavy duty, low profile (compared to 29x2.5) everything I needed for my bike. I ride mostly in the city, so this tire was perfect, i felt pretty confident taking corners, worth every penny 👌

Nice Sturdy Tire for Commuting and General Use
I bought a bike that came with a pair of these and immediately got a puncture on one due to road debris. I liked them enough to buy a replacement. These are great for commuting and riding my local rail trail, they are not good for single track or mountain bike trails. (Thanks GPS for taking me off the rail trail and into sketchy trails!) All joking aside, these are great for my commute- 6 miles of paved road and 6 miles of packed crushed gravel rail trail. They feel speedy on both surfaces and grip the gravel trail well and feel good on tar.I've put about 600 miles on them this summer, and while they have worn a bit they are still in good shape, they easily have another 600 miles in them!I will be buying these again.
