I used to smoke cigarettes in my car, and I have allowed other people to since then, only when my big ol' dog is not with us. After numerous camping trips, nasty smelling dogs, cigarettes, spills, etc., this purifier has been able to reduce the smell to almost non-noticeable. I consistently have it plugged in, and I have a 30-50 minute commute both ways to work, so it has had time to work its negative ion magic. I was on the fence as to how this would live up the claims, but it has performed extremely well. I highly suggest the purifier. The only drawback is the LED light; it is very bright and distracting when driving at night. I can see reflections in the windshield, and both front side windows. I have rotated the product to find a less bright area, but it is still very distracting. The USB ports work as advertised. Great product. Per shipper's response to my question about brightness and how to dim, they may integrate a method to dim or turn off LED light in the next iteration. Just to clarify, this answer was a maybe from the shipper nothing has been confirmed.

I had a smell in my car probably due spilling a latte and just general dust and dirt smell. I do not notice any odor now that i have been using this ionizer. It works amazingly. Nice to have because I feel like I am breathing in much more fresh air. I work in the city and also this helps protect me from the thick and toxic air. Really great to have 2 ports to charge my devices. I can keep using the ionizer while juicing up!! My old one I would have to keep taking out and it wears down the plug. This is amazing. The blue color looks cool when I am driving in the dark and can easily find the usb port if needed.

I was kind of disappointed initially because I wasn't noticing a difference. I bought a used vehicle which had previously been smoked in. The dealership tried to cover up the smoke smell with another smell. I just wanted all smells gone. I wasn't really noticing a great difference. However, I think it does something to the quality of air coming in the vehicle. I always get a very stuffy nose during long trips while in a vehicle. I noticed on the last couple trips we took that I was not having any breathing issues. I would say that it has to be because of this air purifier. It must be helping the overall scent in the vehicle also because a friend of mine poked her head in my car an said "ooh, it smells nice in here", which could not have been said when I bought the car. So I guess I went nose blind to it. Anyway, it appears to be doing its job, but not in a noticeable way. I only gave it 4 stars because, from the rest of the reviews, I was expecting to really notice a big difference right away.

I’m unsure if this is doing anything. I do find it hard to be sure if it’s on or rather getting it on. If the lights on it’s on. But getting it on is hard. It doesn’t just turn on when you start the car, you have to either unplug and plug it back in or press the inner circle on top for it to turn it on. I do like that I have usb ports closer to me though.

Initially it worked great and made my car smell so good. I read other reviews when I bought it where people said it worked good, but stopped working after a short time and that's what happened to me. I had another cheaper one for years that I paid $10 for, but I took a chance on this one and shouldn't have. We tried cleaning it but nothing worked. The blue light works but that's about it....

I have no clue what it’s doing but it lights up. Makes a slight noise when it turns on (not in a negative way or overly loud) so I guess it’s working. I plugged it in the back of my suv and plan on just leaving it running at all times while driving. So I guess it’s good enough for me.

Nobody notices any sort of ionizing smell like other ionizers give off. It does double as a charging block, so at least it's useful as that.
