I purchased Adam Lambert's debut album 'For Your Entertainment' a few months after it's release in 2010, recommended for me by a friend. It was, and still is, rare for me to take an interest in the music of an artist who found their fame on a reality television show. However, Adam is different, he is a very talented singer and a good entertainer.Two of the album's songs are personal favourites of mine: 'Whataya Want From Me?', a beautiful ballad that was written and recorded by Pink, and 'Aftermath', a very positive and inspiring song with great lyrics that speak to me.However, none of the other songs on the album come close to these two. I didn't like the title track 'For Your Entertainment' at first, but it grew on me. 'Pick U Up', 'Fever', 'Music Again' and 'If I Had You' are all good, catchy 80s style pop/rock songs, but all the rest I've never really took too.However, this is great for a debut, Adam is very versatile and talented and I'm sure he'll continue to be successful for years to come. With two excellent songs, and five other good ones, this album is certainly worthy of four stars.

I'm a middle-aged heterosexual man and i like Adam Lalmbert...is that wrong?Okay,seriously,there's no denying this guy has a really great voice and i was really impressed with him on American idol and shocked when he didn't win,he was easily the best there.This cd doesn't always capture the voice we heard every week,you know the high rock screams,but it does showcase his obvious talent.As much as i like this cd and dvd i cannot deny this isn't going to please everyone who liked him from already mentioned show. Put simply,a lot of teenage girls are going to love it,there's a lot of love related stuff here and he is of course very attractive,then there's the well above average voice,so this guy could be argued as being the total package. But as i say,the fanbase is bound to feature a lot of young girls.Not all songs are of the ilk i'm refering to,some are great,if somewhat camp offerings,bringing glam rock smack bang into the 21st century. I won't deny that i wouldn't normally go for something so...well...poppy. But saying that,his voice does win over any criticism i might have on his choice of songs (that's if they are his choice of songs),what with this tour edition having a total of 18 songs and the dvd also being well worth watching,with performances and videos to enjoy.My brother heard me playing this cd and commented that it wasn't my usual choice of music,and as versatile as a am,it's true,it isn't. However,the voice is there and the songs do capture my interest for the most part. This may not be quite what i was expecting,but it is very impressive,i'm not disappointed.

Adam Lambert is the single most exciting thing to happen in music this century. He could sing the phone book and I would love it. What a vocal range this young man has!He has it all.TALENT - listen to him on You Tube if you are in doubt about whether to buy this CD (I recommend you start with "Ring of Fire" although it's not on this album it will give you an idea of what he can do) He sings so effortlessly.LOOKS - far too pretty to be a boy, he's gorgeous! A slight look of Elvis from some angles - check out the Google images.PERSONALITY - he's charming, sincere and fun when interviewed and has a real twinkle in his eyes!This, his first album, does not have a bad track on it in my opinion. I love it, my kids love it and even my Mum can't get over his voice! This is a really eclectic mix of songs, so even if you don't adore every track, there are bound to be some you will like.

New Years Eve 2014 will be a date etched on my mind as the night I discovered Adam Lambert. Who was this drop dead gorgeous man belting out Queen songs? This was Adam Lambert and I knew I needed to find out more about his music. I haven't been disappointed! This, his debut album, contains some wonderful tracks and you can just listen to it over and over again. Each track is unique and I really don't have a single one that I dislike. I have 6 years of catching up to do as it was 2009 that Adam was runner-up in American Idol but I'm enjoying every moment!
