Soft Roller Brush Head Floor Tool to Fit Dyson DC44, DC59, V6 Animal Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

My original dyson roller started to stop spinning occasionally, even when it was cleaned thoroughly, purchased a new battery with no luck so I came across this. We only use this for hardwood and Lvp floors. It works great, the roller spins and never gets stuck. I think the original rollers motor was on its way out. This has been a great replacement for my use, I also noticed that I have been able to get a longer charger out of it than with the original. Seems to clean as well as the original part.

I couldn't find a factory part, so I tried this one.Overall, I'm happy with it. It works very well on hardwood floors. On my DC44, it gets bogged down on certain types of carpet.Pros:- I was surprised that this one does a much better job preventing hair from getting clogged in the roller. After an hour a vacuuming it's still clear of hair.- Does better on hardwoods than OEM part. Gets fine dust that factory part did not.Cons:- It isn't quite as good around the edges -- the roller doesn't extend completely to the edges.- Gets bogged down (roller stops) on certain types of carpet.

It doesn’t work as advertised. The roller head turns only when in contact with nothing. That is to say, it doesn’t have sufficient torque to turn the roller brush when in contact to the floor or carpet. The well worn 10+ year old head on my Dyson works like a champ compared to this new non-functional replacement. Oddly, in a review where saying a product “sucks” might be a slam, in this review the opposite is true. It does not “suck” and it really is supposed to do that very thing.

This one works well and doesn't clog with pet hair like the original Dyson one.

DC59 head replacement, night and day difference for my hardwood floors. Can't really tell an enormous difference between this and the OEM head, but to be fair the DC59 is nothing to write home about in the first place. Absolutely worth the cost.

Purchased this to replace the motor head on my Dyson cordless Animal. It is a little smaller that the original, but connected fine. It has a soft roller without any kind of brushes. Does a great job on tile and hardwood, but the roller will not work at all on throw rugs or carpet.
