Easy to install, You Can do it !
Just follow the wiring diagram. Fortin gives you access to via a website and code that comes in the box . In my case 2011 ford Edge no splicing, only T harness used. You need the Fortin flash link uploader to make it all work, and yes you do need 2 keys to program. keep in mind if you don't buy a RF kit you only get as much range as you normally do with your factory remote. I installed remote started professionally back in the day when they first came around you had to connect every wire and had to take most of the interior apart, had to cut open factory harnesses and run wires through the firewall it was a pain and took hours. This product streamlines all that with their T harness and smart EVO-ALL I recommend.

Works very well, install documentation could be clearer.
Install was not too bad. The instructions weren’t the clearest so I missed a wire hookup. Once I got that I went to use their decryption and it wouldn’t decrypt the first time. I had to run the decryption process a few times before it completed successfully. Finally after that I still couldn’t get the car to remote start with the factory key fob and discovered that I need to change a setting in the flash link updater to get the remote start working. The 3X lock press is not enabled by default so when I flashed the Evo for the car it took me some time to figure out I needed to enable that and reflash. Finally about 2 hours later it works and works well even though I could have installed it in about 20 mins with clearer instructions and a better functioning decryption software.Tech support via phone was non-existent as I called during office hours stated for Tech Support and the machine said they were closed. Luckily I was able to find info on their support forums an answers to questions that I had which had already been asked.

DO NOT BUY
Product was installed, worked for about 6 try’s (3 per key) then stopped. Now my vehicle starts using the key in the ignition but as soon as the button on the gear shift is pushed the vehicle shuts off.....Not happy!

These systems DO NOT come pre-programmed for any vehicle.
Great systems, some of the best, but these systems DO NOT come pre-programmed ready for any vehicle... The EVO-FORT4 system IS designed for dozens of Ford vehicles, but you have to pre-program it with the vehicle-specific Ford firmware before installation, basically you have to tell it the exact year, make, and model of Ford it's going to be installed into...which requires the additional Fortin Flashlink module, downloading the Flashlink module's software, and then plugging it into the EVO-FORT4 to program it for your specific model of Ford. Hope this helps everyone! (I install these all the time for a living).

You may need the flashlink to make it work!
I bought this for my 2010 mercury milan. It's very easy to install if you follow the right direction. It was all plug in for my car and I didn't have to cut anything, but that could change depending on your vehicle. The problem as some other people stated here, you may need to program the module. My didn't work after installing it and after a call to Fortin, I find out the module wasn't program at all.I was told I need it to get the flashlink to do it myself or find a installer that could do it for me.

Update unit when you receive it.. mine was no where near updated
Used this on a 2014 Ford product and worked great. However, You need to go thru all settings and update the unit before installing. Features will not work as one would think until you go into settings using a pc and turn them on. Unit worked great once I did this.

NOT ALL IN 1 - YOU STILL NEED TO BUY FLASHLINK
This product will not work without updating the firmware and flashing via PC with an official $65 Evo Flashlink (or a $135 Mobile flash link if you want to use bluetooth instead of USB to PC)Again, this is not all-in-one as the description states, you have to purchase a separate Flash link.

One happy camper
First off watch the you tube video about the T-Harness. He will show you exactly what you need and don’t need. These harnesses come with every option a vehicle can have so there’s a lot of with you don’t need. I installed this unit in a 2012 Ford Fusion with no issues. You do need the programmer cause you have to flash the unit for your make and model. Took me about an hour to crack open the steering column and to get everything plugged up. Once I got everything plugged up grabbed both keys and programmed them. Everything worked great! Just a few things I learned. 1 if the car is unlocked you have to press the lock button four times but no problem 2 use the default settings in the programmer they work perfectly. 3 if you remove the unit to update the program you have to reprogram both keys each time. My wife is thrilled and loves her remote start now!!
