these bulbs are rated at a 40 degree beam angle, they most certainly are NOT that - they spread the light like most opaque covered bulbs do. Why oh why can manufacturers not get their statistics right?? there are so many Chinese items on Amazon with inaccurate information...

I ordered and received 6 R50 E14 LED Bulbs on Wednesday and 5 out of six worked. As I was given a discount of 20% I wrote it off. Ordered another six and just received 6 R50 E14 LED Bulbs and not one of them work so 100% energy saving this time! Now the hassle of returning them for a refund. Wouldn't recommend. Looking for a different manufacturer now. Can't give no stars apparently?

Happy enough when I bought these but they get dimmer and dimmer over time and now, a year or so down the road they are still functioning but so dim they need replacing. The photo shows a recent bulb, one that's about 6 months old and one that's a year old. You can see from the shadow cast from the brightest how different the light output is.
