Superb hd, 38 second boot into windows 10
Very, very happy. My six year old Lenovo gaming laptop he went down. So I bought this. I literally took ten minutes to install. Then a few hrs yes to install Windows 10... And all drivers etc. But got an I happy. My old hd was bad with a 4/5 minute boot up. But this! I'm up and running in Windows after 38 seconds. Ok my son's add boots in 9 ish seconds. But considering his coat him nearly double mine and he only has 1tb and I have 2tb. I'm happy. I think it was a good buy. Let's see how it goes over the com I my year

Great for PS4 storage upgrade
I was finally starting to run out of space on my 500GB PS4, so I took the leap and upgraded to this drive instead. I don't know if it's any faster to load games compared to the standard drive (I didn't do any stopwatch tests but it's definitely possible) but certainly no slower. Now my console has tons of space and I don't need to deal with deleting games and then having to reinstall or re-download them if I want to go back to an older one. HDD upgrade on the PS4 is not very difficult and I believe is officially supported by Sony. It's pretty easy to open the console up just far enough to replace the hard drive but not have all of the internals exposed to risk. There are plenty of guides online, including on the official Playstation website, about how to do it (including copying your save-game data to a USB stick so you don't lose it).

Great for the price
Easy to format and use, i put this in my ps4 pro to upgrade storage for downloaded games and it works great. Faster boot times for ps4 os and games load quicker than average

Good size but can ramp the fan up!
I had a corrupt hard drive on my ps4 and needed to replace the drive. This one is actually slowed down when being used on a PS4 as it is restricted by the usb 2.0 bus in the console (not the drives fault). In a pro you would see an improvement with the solid state cache more! Size is great from adding games or storing video without the need to delete one game to make way for another. The only thing that does happen is when at full speed the fan gets pulled to maximum in the system and this can be a little loud. I have noticed a small improvement in load times, however if your just increasing capacity it’s probably best and a little cheaper to go to a standard drive and keep the SSD or hybrids for the pro. Still a nice drive and I would recommend.

Works A Treat
Dropped into my Alienware Area-51m R2 with no issues. I used the software available on Seagate's website to clone the existing 128gb and then swapped them over. After resizing the partitions works fine. No issues and laptop boots really quickly. Now looking to purchase a 2tb version for the spare slot.

Great purchase
What a difference this has made upgrading from 500gb, I could never go back to a smaller memory. However I can’t say I’ve noticed a difference in speed, I’m not saying there isnt one just perhaps not the x4/5 advertised. The purchase was worth it for me though just for the memory. Installing the drive is much simpler than I thought just make sure to watch a tutorial video first. Additionally you will need to buy a data stick if you don’t already have one to install the latest PS4 software once you start it up with the new drive for the first time.

There are much better solutions out there
It's taken me nearly a full year to diagnose why my new system is experiencing frequent "hangs" especially whilst gaming. SSHD technology sounds great on paper - "moving" frequently accessed files to an internal solid state cache but in practice this adds a lot of latency to the data access process. When the SSHD needs to switch between onboard cache and the physical disk it is **noticeable**. What is worse is the disk portion will actually spin down if this isn't your primary drive (as is my case - I bought this to hold my game library) and in-game you can tell when an asset needs to be pulled from magnetic storage because the system will freeze up for a moment. This would be a good choice for something like a media server, general file storage or even as just a system drive. If you are gaming even a 72k hard drive would be better than this as the performance is more consistent.

Pros: - Great price for upgrading computers or gaming consoles with more space. - Faster than HDD. Cons: - Haven’t experienced anything to complain about. This is the third Firecuda I’ve purchased. Two are in my gaming consoles and the other in my laptop. Points to consider: When using Firecuda sdhd, remember that it only operates faster by placing your most used applications in nand memory. This means that about after 5 loads, it’ll perform faster than a regular HDD. OS will load very fast wether it’s your computer or gaming console. Most used games will load faster, providing that it’s on your hard drive and not your disc. I first bought one a few years ago and it works great!
