Roberts Radio RS1 Wireless Multi-Room Adaptor with Internet, Music Player and Spotify Connect

This is good box but the app for it sometimes plays up undok app but plenty Internet stations good value for the money

The device - OK, I was stupid, I bought three of them - is at best unstable on wifi connectivity and at worst completely unuseable. I have a powerful wifi (and fibre broadband) so connectivity within the system and to the outside should be state of the art. But these devices take an age to succeed in making the connection, not helped by the fact that the UNDOK app instructions are ambiguous. It usually requires multiple attempts before it grudgingly works. One of its favourite trick is to get all the way through the connection process before saying that it cannot find the audio device. Even if that works, a few days later, it will drop the connection. The latest is that the network connection feature seems to have failed completely (no LED). At ~£120, before selling these things Roberts should have at least spent a few programming hours on stability. The instructions add insult to injury bu sending jolly messages throughout before the device does its usual and fails.

Bought the Roberts RS1 despite negative reviews. When first connected it was everything those negative reviews said it was unreliable, constantly dropping out and regularly needing to be reset. Decided to give it a try away from the various signals of the av setup (internet, Sky box, phone and so on) it now lives on the opposite side of the room and has worked without issue for 3 months. I would recommended product and I do give It 5 Stars but bought mine for considerably less than the £150 it's being sold for at time of review.

I loved this device when I first got it but after a few weeks it regularly starts loosing WiFi connection. The app needed to make it work may be to blame but it repeatedly forgets the radio connected and all needs setting up again. My advice - unless you want a headache when you just want to hear some radio - don’t buy this unit .. great idea but in practice it is not stable

Almost didn't get one of these based on the negative reviews. I have the R100 radio and found it extremely flexible allowing me to listen to anything that takes my fancy easily and with reasonable sound quality. So how bad could an RS1 be? Answer not at all, it plays Spotify and internet radio in to my hifi with remarkable quality via its digital out. It took about 2 mins to setup (I read the instructions) and I can group it with the R100. Like all products that connect to the internet especially WiFi they suffer from poor connections, it's too easy to blame the end device when the problem is wrapped up in the providing network. Make sure your network is good and the UNDOK APP and this little white box will keep you entertained for hours.

bought this at its early days, for £15, didnt use it for a long time after the initial setup. Connects well but only supports one streaming service spotify. I have youtube music, and other services but wish there is a hack that can get these working

There are some connectivity WiFi issues ie ping timeouts etc that cause the app device to stop working however as a workaround Please ensure the device fireware is upto date this ca. Be updated from within the undok app But mostly importantly connect to a 5G WiFi router/access point. One I connected the device from 2G to my 5G WiFi network.. No ping timeouts and the device is now pretty stable Hope tiia helps others

I use UNDOK for two other items in my house and it works just fine. There was no way that I could find, either by following the instructions carefully or by attaching the RS1 by cable, for UNDOK to recognize this unit. The unit would not factory reset following the instructions in the comprehensive manual. Looking at other reviews and noting that this has been dropped by Roberts I can only assume that there is something fundamentally wrong with this equipment. I would not recommend that this unit is purchased. Thank goodness for Amazon and the helpful, understanding, and easy product return policy. It has been returned.

Zoals al veel op internet is gezegd: vergeet de Wifi, gebruik de vaste Ethernetverbinding en dan heb je een prima internetradio en mediaplayer met Spotify Connect. In de aanbieding het geld zeker waard.
